Are there any websites with the names of older wedding dresses?
I ask this because I went to a dress shop last weekend and found a beautiful La Sposa (that I couldn’t afford). The dress shop didn’t allow pictures and when it was obvious I didn’t want to put down a deposit that day, the sales lady got all huffy and put the dress away before I could write down the name. I would remember it if I saw it written down again, but I can’t for the life of me think of the name of it.
It was an older gown (not from the 2010 and 2011 collections on the La Sposa website). And I just wanted to look at it again in a non-pressure environment.

Here’s a couple I would try:
You could also try the Knot… they sometimes keep older pictures up on their dress gallery.

I was going to suggest fashionbride too. I love that site Search for La Sposa within fashionbride and hopefully it will come up. Otherwise try searching La Sposa 2009 or 2008 in google… there may be other blogs which have saved old pictures too. Good luck!

could you go back and get the info? maybe say your mom wants to see it or something? Or a girlfriend who wasnt there before?

I’ve had a lot of luck using Brides.com to find older styles!

Well I’ve tried fashion brides, brides.com, and the knot and haven’t found it. I would try going back but it would be hard to get an appt and the lady turned really mean when I didn’t put down a deposit. I’d hate to go back there (about a 2 hour drive away) to try again….
Any other suggestions?

That’s ridiculous that she would be so rude. Honestly, does she expect you to make such a huge decision on the spot? And how is she going to get people to come back to put down a deposit if she’s so mean?
Are there any other stockists of La Sposa in your area? Try phoning around, explaining the situation and describing the dress – they might happen to have it too. If you explain that you’re wanting to buy the dress elsewhere because you’ve received bad service, they might treat you extra nicely.
