I’m new to wedding bee and don’t really know how this all works but here goes…… I’m gettin married in basically 6 months time we have been engaged since last yeat and thought if were gonna do it now is the time. So we booked our venue last month and will hammer into it every month until then as we had no savings nothing! I recently ordered my wedding dress which cost 1200 and put my dep of £700 down now as we had no savings and are taking it month by month this is obviously a lot of mooney for us! I had tried the dress on twice before and loved it, so on order you were allowed to take photos of the dress. My mum and sis hook some photos I paid my deposit and left. looking at the pictures I could have cried!! The top is sparkly and the body is light ivory. In the picture the sparkle part looked a totally different colour to me and now I am in a total panic, I hate my wedding dress. Now I know u would say its in the shop, it’s darker, it’s shadows and stuff but I went back and took a pic of it on the mani quinine in the shop window (with daylight) and looked the same. I have paid almost 1000 for a photographer and am thinking I am gonna look back on my weddiphoto stops and absolutely hate them (Well my dress) I am so stressed and there is a no cancelation or transfer policy on our money. Oh nooooo!

@Stacey-x: Maybe you could post a picture of your dress on here? Some of the bees can give you advice on what to do…or at least put your mind at ease that it is beautiful.
Dress regret is pretty typical, at least here on the bee. what you could do is sell the dress back unused once you get it, and then use that money for a new dress.

If the dress looks fine in reality then ignore the pictures especially if they were taken on a phone. The colour balance is unlikely to reflect the true colours.

Breathe! I’m assuming that you’ve hired a professional photog… Who probably owns a better camera than what you, your mum and sis used to take your pics. A pro photog and a pro camera will get the job done nicely. If you like the way it sparkled in person then trust that.
Have a look at this thread:
Notice the differences between some of the cell phone pics and then the professional pics… Hope this eases the stress…

The before and after shots did make a difference. I don’t know how to add a photo on here lol and I understand it might look different on the day, I just think others will be taking photos on they’re phone and take it home and be like Her dress is weird? Lol
