I’m interested in this too.  I’m waiting for the fully edited/photoshopped versions of the pictures and then we also want to make our parents albums as a surprise.

I used shutterfly, picaboo and adoramapix to make various albums.

Between shutterfly and picaboo I think I preferred shutterfly.  The pictures just looked like more rich tones, and the paper was nice.  There wasn’t as much freedom to move and resize photos as much as other programs, but if you just want a straight foward, easy to use program, it’s quite good.

Ive heard very good things about blurb.com and their prices seem reasonable. I may go there after I get my pics.

I’ve used shutterfly, picaboo and snapfish for different photo albums over the years. Typically, I go with whichever site has the best coupon running at the time, or I’ll make a book, and wait on the next good deal from that site. For example, right now, snapfish was/is doing a mother’s day thing where if you bought one photobook, you got another two free… and another time, I got a coupon code for a free photo book.. I just paid shipping. So, definitely check into looking for some coupon codes for each site.. espcially if you have a little bit of time to wait on a good one 😉

As for turnaround time, eh.. only takes maybe a week. They’re all pretty quick!

@Nola: I used it for Mr. Hedgies wedding present and it is great! It turned out awesome and if you take advantage of any and all coupons it can actually be pretty cheap too. I plan on using them for parents albums too.

If you are making books {not albums} then I definitely recommend adorama for their quality, the next would be mpix.

Depends on what you want to do.  I just did parents albums through mixbook.com and I love them!  I love that I can basically scrapbook online and the quality has always been very good.  If you want to see my album, pm me!  🙂

@Nola: Our friends used shutterfly and highly recommend it. They didn’t think it was very difficult and I want to say that the turnaround time was about a month, but I could be wrong. They were very happy with the product and I’ve see the albums and like them a lot also 🙂

I used iPhoto—orders straight through Mac.  It was super easy and turned out great.  And when the dog ate it—yes, literally! then it was easy for me to just open my computer and click ‘order’ again and it came again in the mail…..good price too at $50 (including shipping)
