Our photographer doesn’t do albums, just gives you the CDs with all the pictures he took. I STILL haven’t put together an album, in part because I haven’t found an album I like. I have been looking for a 5 by 7 or 8 by 10, and all I seem to find are 4 by 6. What album size did you use? What do you recommend?

Check out your local scrapbooking store…not a Michael’s or Joann’s, but a mom & pop, scrapbooking only store. They have ALL KINDS of sizes of photo albums, both the kind you just “stick photos in” & the kind that you can embellish yourself.
If you’re into embellishing your own, I’d go with an 8 x 8 album…you can easily fit 5 x 7 pics on the pages with your own captions or comments, as well as put together smaller 4×6 pics on the pages.

I found a nice album at Macys that’s 5 by 7, but it is $80 and I think that’s a little much. For those who made an album, how much did you spend on it?
Pascu- that’s a good idea, but I have looked around at those stores in my area and haven’t found anything but scrapbooks, and I am not creative enough to pull that off.

Go to Blurb.com or adorama, I think it’s called. You can upload your pics and put together whatever album you like. The prices are so good, and Blurb has really cool displays of ones other people did. That’s what we’re doing anyway. Worth a look!

I plan on going the electronic/interwebs route. I’ve made albums in the past with mypublisher.com and love how they turn out.
We’re doing that for our wedding albums too.
