I am a little confused – do you want anyone other than your parents at the wedding?

If yes, then send out an invite, they are all adults & can figure out if they can afford to come along.

If you would like to have ppl involved, speak to close friends & families & discuss ideas re showers / parties etc

How about having a little celebration in each country after the big day? a dinner with those closest to you? it would mean you’d have to go there…

or how would you feel about your ceremony being taped real time? on skype or something?

Traditionally a wedding announcement would be sent after the wedding. That timing prevents anyone from mistaking it for an invitation and serves the traditional purpose of letting people know How to address you as a married woman – whether you’re going to be a Ms. a Mrs. … If you’re keeping your last name, taking his, hyphenating….

Engagement announcements are sent prior to a wedding, but if your wedding date is correct on here, then it’s a little late for those.

Since you’re so close to your wedding date it seems that your best bet would probably be wedding announcements. Writing them by hand with a note is less formal, but much more personal.  So, depending on your guests that might be a nice option.

Playing on the suggestion below, why dont you – continue to have the ceremony taped, have your mum via skype & ensure that maybe in the speeches something is mentioned about those not there. then, AFTER the wedding, like MrsAnnieW2Be  has suggested, send out an announcement with a link to the video that will be online & they can then watch it & know that you haven’t forgotten about them ..
