I've eaten at the Disneyland hotel on several occasions and the food has always been good. I have two friends that did full on Disney princess weddings -- and if it is your thing I say go for it; however, they are very expensive!
I went on to Disney on a corporate trip over Christmas and they had our dinner catered every night by the same people who do it for the weddings and the food was AMAZING!!! They also did these fabulous table centerpieces and just the whole presentation was amazing!
If you can afford it, I would go for it!
They have great food in the hotels and the people that do the special events do a great job as well. There desserts are amazing. I worked in foods there for almost 10 years I should know I've probably tried it all.
*sigh* Getting married at Disneyland is my fantasy. Alas, it is not my FI's, and we are in Iowa, so it wouldn't really let us have all our friends and family there.
They are expensive..I think the Disney Wedding packages are created by David Tutera..can get really pricey.
Been to a few weddings/events there and it's always been fabulous... actually going to one this Saturday evening!
Yep they are created by David Tutera and they start at $25k minumim....sign...my dream wedding at Disney.
I havent eaten at Disney Land, but if its anything like Disney world, I'm sure all the food is delicious. Some of the best meals I have had have actually been at Disney World. A girl I went to school with got married in DisneyWorld last year and everyone I know who went said everything was amazing, esp. the food.
you know who else i heart? david tutera! if only i had the big bucks. :)
My sister was married at the Disneyland Hotel. It was gorgeous! I only remember having the soup because I had just turned 21 and took full advantage of the open bar. The soup was good though...
I've been to the Thanksgiving banquet at the Disneyland Hotel twice, and the food is excellent! I'm not sure about the wedding minimum, though. The David Tutera option is only one of many choices they offer, so I'm pretty sure the minimum is less than $25,000. And, that's for ceremony AND reception.
Actually, I couldn't even find price information on the website (it used to be there), or if they do only receptions. You'd want to call and find out ![]()

Hi all,
FH & I are actually getting married at the Disneyland Hotel!!! From what I've eaten there (at different events) the food is REALLY yummy...but is the food really the reason for having your reception at Disney? We'd being having it at Disney despite the food (as long as it wasn't really AWFUL), just to incorporate that magic that Disney does best.
If you're a real foodie, the Napa Rose at Disney's California Hotel is meant to be one of the best in Orange County...maybe ask if you're food can come from there or have the reception at the restaurant or California Hotel to get the best food.
@HeidiInWonderland: thanks for the website! It helped me figure out some of the jargon that we found in our research...but, for all you brides thinking of going with Disney, the prices are only good for this year. Starting in January 2010, there will be no differentiating prices for the days of the week...all days will be $100 min for lunch & $125 min for dinner...just FYI.
If you really love Disney then that's the way to go. The food is pretty good too :)

Checking out the Disneyland Hotel as a wedding reception location... Does anyone know how the food tastes there?
