Kortman5591:  I think a custom ring would be a great way to go, given the unique shape of your beautiful ering! (And it is so stunning! I love the detail on the shank). When we first began ring shopping we considered a custom ering for me, and our jeweler said that to put my mind at ease, he’d be happy to cast the ring in silver first so I could see if I liked it. Although we ultimately did not go the custom route, I do think that having a silver cast would have been worth the expense – definitely a reassurance! It would give you the opportunity to see how it looked in real life next to your ering and help you make any alterations to the mold.

Congrats on your engagement 🙂

The jewler where we bought our rings does all of their rings order made, although most are based on basic designs so they have examples to show you. If you do any serious amount of personalization they make a cast in wax and have you come in to check it before they go ahead with the ring. We ended up going with minor changes so we didn’t have a cast made, but I wonder if other shops might offer something similar as it would probably be cheaper than a silver cast.
