Hi! I am hoping you can give me some advice on a wedding band dilemma. My husband gifted me with a new Ering — sort of a “15-year upgrade”. (Yay!) When we got married, we couldn’t afford the wedding band that matched my original engagement ring. So, for years, I have worn just a wide metal wedding band. I have two or three that I alternate. Now, though, I am hoping to find something that will go with my new engagement ring. I feel my current wedding bands are too wide.
Here is the new ring:
And this is the wedding band I was thinking of trying to pair with it:
This band is from Pompeii 3 on Etsy. I’ve read through a few threads about this particular seller, and I feel pretty confident about ordering from them. But I was wondering if any of you have experience with this particular band. Do any of you currently own it … and, if so, would you be willing to post pictures?
Do you think this band would rub against the stones on the side of my engagement ring? I was thinking there was enough of a metal band at the bottom of the setting on the sides, but I am unsure how tall this band is.
Also, I wear a size 8.5. I don’t usually go for rings as thin as this one, but my heart is telling me that a thinner / more dainty ring would go well with my engagement ring. But, would this band be too small (or look ridiculous) on a size 8.5 finger?
Or, should I just go with a plain band and forgo the different colored stones? Or maybe not even have a band at all? I thought the splash of color would be fun, but I am completely second-guessing myself.
(Sorry this ended up being such a long post. Argh! >.O)
