I’m hoping that someone can photoshop something for me– my wedding band choices with my e-ring. I have been somewhat obsessed with this wedding band for months now, but we are not buying quite yet because my FI doesn’t know what he wants.
OK, so, the first picture is my hand with (obviously) my e-ring. The second picture is the wedding band I have been drooling over for months. And the third picture is of a ring that’s like the style my FI likes for himself the most so far; he seems to want us to have matching wedding bands, but I REALLY want extra sparkle in my wedding band since the stone in my e-ring is of very modest size and I like sparkly rocks. 🙂
Thank you SO MUCH to anyone who can help!

I have no photoshop skills, but I will go ahead and say I love the second, rose gold band.

bumping so this doesn’t vanish into page 2 oblivion 🙂

@Creiddylad: Sure, I can help! Do you know the width of each band so I could do it more accurately?
@DarlingClementine: Oh, yay, thank you! The width of my e-ring is 1.2 to 2 mm. The width of the sparkly ring is 5 mm, and I think the width of the rose gold band is 3 mm.
I am hoping that if I do get the sparkly ring, the jeweler will make the band narrower, but that’s the example she has.
I really, really appreciate your willingness to do this for me! I have to say though, other people may spot this and ask you to do the same. I don’t know how you feel about that; I recently volunteered my advice about dress alterations since I have been a seamstress on and off and I’ve been totally overwhelmed with responses. So if you want, I can close this thread when you’re done with my pictures.
I’m excited to see what you can do! I really wish I could get Photoshop, but I can’t afford it at the moment.

If @DarlingClementine: is busy, there was another wonderful bee (@bigcitydiamonds: huge thanks again!) was able to alter a ring that I had to a sapphire ring so I was able to see what it looked like.
I think it’s so awesome that we’re helping each others out. Anyone needs to know anything about Doctor Who, Star Trek, cats, books or recruiting, just let me know!

@Creiddylad: Hello! I’ve had a little go, let me know what you think. I think the first band is a little too wide, and the second might be the wrong colour. Have you thought about a slimmer, curved band? I found the third one here: http://www.diamondsbylauren.com/index.php/jewelry/diamond-wedding-band-18ctw-e-f-vs-round-brilliant-curved-diamond-wedding-band-special-price-r4679
I think it accentuates the curves of your engagement band rather than competes with it!

@DarlingClementine: Oh, thank you so much!! Photoshop is so useful, I need to get it sometime! It is great to be able to see my ring with the various options.
The first ring certainly does look too wide. If I do get one something like that, I will have it custom-made to be 3 mm wide instead of 5.
The third one you found is quite pretty– thank you! The thing is, I am looking for a wider wedding band because I am the kind of person who never takes rings off, and I can be hard on my hands so I have to find something that will be very durable. My e-ring is very delicate and I unfortunately expect that someday I will no longer be able to wear it, or it will have to be rebuilt, so I’m hoping to find a sturdy but sparkly wedding band to last forever.
I do definitely want one that’s at least slightly curved– and now that I can see it with my e-ring, I’m not into the way the plain rose gold one looks at all! I need to show my FI since that’s the sort of ring he likes and he wants us to have matching ones, but I just don’t like it as much as one with some small stones in it.
Thank you again! This was very nice of you. 🙂
@MrsDogMama: Ooh thank you for the links! Very, very pretty– I wonder if they do curved bands too?
@catwoman1701: Thank you for the info! I guess it’s good that it’s here since people may start coming to the thread hoping for photoshopping of their rings!
