My fiance is Peruvian and it’s traditional there that the wedding bands of the bride and groom match. So he’s insisting that I have a straight band with my very unique engagement ring band. i feel like there is so much space that one of the rings could fall off. I don’t think it looks good! Opinions?

I love straight bands because they look good on their own without the e-ring. But it would be good to see the contoured one too.
ETA: I think a contoured one would look better with your e-ring.

@mollymollyo: I don’t like contoured bands at all but in your case I think it would go better with your ring.

What about wearing a straight band to match your DH’s on your left hand and moving your ER to your right hand? Your ER is substantial enough to stand alone.

I would work the angle that as it would be the same type of material etc it is still matching to yours but the contour just works better with your e ring.

I’d need to see the contoured band for comparison.

I’d need to see the contoured band, but as of now I am not loving the straight band. It looks very stark with your engagement ring, which needs something to complement it, not fight against it, which is what I see the straight one doing.

Do you have an example of what the contoured band would look like?
