Weddingbee boards

My fiance & I started looking for wedding bands and I am having a really hard time finding a wedding band that looks good next to my engagement ring, which is a platinum Hearts on Fire Simply Bridal Twist ring (http://www.heartsonfire.com/shop-jewelry/rings/engagement-rings/simplybridaltwistsolitaire.aspx). Although my e-ring is plat, I actually really love the classic look of rose or yellow gold for a wedding band. I tried several on and the mixed metals is just not looking good unfortunately. So I'm willing to get a platinum wedding band, but everything looks so bad next to my e-ring. Does anybody have any suggestions for wedding bands that might look good with this type of e-ring? Does anybody else have a yellow/rose wedding band a white e-ring side-by-side? I'd like my wedding band to be completely plain - no diamonds or designs. Thank you!

Well, I'm not a huge fan of platinum (or white gold) on its own.  I just feel that with my skin tone, yellow or rose gold looks much better.  The only reason I got a platinum ering is because the diamond sparkles more on a white background, but for my wedding ring, I'd like it to look good on its own too (and platinum bands don't really). I actually like the gap between the rings, so that's not the problem.  My ering is all about symmetry though with that twist on either side of the diamond, so it kind of takes away from the look when I put a straight band next to it.  I might end up just getting a rose or yellow gold straight band and wear the ering on my right hand.  @Keltaena, I love that mixed metal twist ring - I'll definitely have to try something like that on!
