@TG123:  I bought my band and planned to wear it on my right hand with some stackers after the wedding since it doesn’t sit flush with my engagement ring.  But when I tried it I felt it looked weird and now I am rocking the gap which always drove me crazy before.  I just didn’t feel married until I put the band next to ring.

If you can afford it, have a jeweler design a custom band to fit your ring.  You can choose something simple for now so it’s less expensive and then upgrade later if you want something with more bling.  We just didn’t have it in the budget for a custom band.

@TG123: I wear my engagement ring on my right hand, because my wedding band is so thick and my engagement ring doesn’t sit flush to the band. I’ve gotten used to it. I stack my engagement ring with a smaller band that my husband bought me a few years before we got engaged. It works for me!

Ive got a friend who’s ring has a similar basket, and what she did was she had some of the bottom part removed from the ring, so a wedding band could slip in and fit right against the ring. It was just a tiny piece of the metal, it didnt effect the integrity of the band at all, and she gets to rock the flat against band.

I have 1 ERing and 2 WBands (on purpose)… one Sparkly & one Plain

The Plain one fits me, but it represents Mr TTR’s Ring as he won’t wear one…

My 2 WBands match in style.  I like having 3 Rings cause it gives me so many options.

Sometimes I stack the 2 WBands together… and wear my ERing on my Right Hand.

Sometimes I wear my 2 Sparklies together… and wear my Plain WBand on my RHand

Sometimes I wear all 3 on one Finger / Hand.

Here are 2 different pics (both left hand)…

Photo # 1 = 2 WBands together

Photo # 2 = Sparklies together

In all honesty, I don’t think it really matters anymore what you do… do what you like.

I may add another 1 or 2 Rings to my WBand stack in time (more Diamonds, or Gemstones), cause I like the look.

Hope this helps,

Mine will sit flush, but if they didn’t I’d probably wear my e-ring on my right hand after the wedding and my band on the left. I feel like otherwise people would think I’m perpetually engaged

If anything I wear my engagement ring on my right hand some days.  I love my sparkly solitaire but my wedding band means the world to me – I always wear it on my left ring finger.  I’m sure you can find something to wear with your engagement ring if you want to wear them as a set, though.

@TG123:  My engagement ring is an antique so I don’t have the option to cut into the basket.  I would have to order a custom band that tucks under the basket and all of the ones I looked at weren’t very pretty.  If you can cut into the basket, do it!

Would you consider wearing your engagement ring on your right hand? I know a girl who got a more plain engagement ring, and has a more intricate wedding band. She wears the wedding band on her left and the engagement ring on her right since it would look like she was just engaged if she wore the E ring on her left. I think it really is a matter of preferences though. I think in a lot of European countries they wear their wedding bands on their right hands.
