@marhealy:  mine will be this way…I could show you a pic when I get them back but I’m just getting a thin half eternity band to go with mine (straight band)

Thought I’d show you 2 options since my halo is not raised either. The top ring is the matching wedding band, and the bottom ring is the one I chose. I ordered a 0.75 mm rose gold spacer for inbetween since the prong set diamonds do rub and I’m worried about long-term wear.

I mentioned that because with your basket you may run into the same issue. Good luck picking a band!

@marhealy:  I don’t have a halo, but I thought I’d chime in.  Your ring is gorgeous!  Because you can’t fit a straight band underneath your halo, you’ll either have to get a curved/custom band or have a pretty big gap.  I would go for the custom band!  Is there a matching band that’s already made for it?  Or do you like gaps?

Something like this?

I didn’t like the look of the contoured band on it’s own, so I went with a straight band and couldn’t be happier. I’ve had a ton of compliments too. Here she is:

(please excuse the blurriness…my phone camera is awful…)

Here’s my band! It was the promise ring FI gave me and I thought worked nicely with my e ring!

@ceebree:  I’m getting something like that for my ring. I wish custom rings weren’t so expensive.

@marhealy:  hi. Your ring is beautiful.  I just got married about a month ago. I decided to get two wedding bands…a curved have diamond ring abd a straight full diamond ring

My band is made to curve around the halo. Here’s a crappy cell phone shot.

A contoured band or wrap guard is your best call with an e-ring that doesn’t allow your band to sit flush.  I personally am not a fan of gaps, so I got a wrap guard.  My ring is not a halo, but it requires a contoured band.  If I had a halo I likely would have ended up with the same type of band situation, because I like symmetry.  Also, it gives a halo type effect and draws attention to the centre stone.

@MrsTwister:  is your wedding band 3 bands (2 pave and 1 plain) or all one band? I’m getting a custom band made, and it’s probably about that thick. Is it comfortable? I have alien-like, freakishly long fingers, so I’m hoping it looks/feels okay.

@BlondeBee:  it’s a solid ring, with outside diamonds and satin finish white gold centre. I actually got it because of how comfortable it is! I forget I’m wearing it – I actually almost left the house today without it because I NEVER take it off and I did for a minute but obviously I don’t notice it on because I ALMOST didn’t notice it off! I don’t suit small bands, and I love mine. So, yes! Very comfortable 🙂 here’s a pic of just the band:
