I have a square halo ring and no luck finding a band that fits flush to it. I did come across one in Zales last week that was curved and it fit really good. But I don't want to attach the band to the e-ring. I want to be able to leave the e-ring at home when I need to. So we are going to get the band that came with it at Tiffany's. We didn't want to spend the money but we both just aren't happy with the other options we've seen. If you find something let me know!
Mine doesnt. Or rather, my e-ring is a cushion cut with a pave band (Tiffany Novo), and the wedding ring we went with has larger diamonds and isnt a smooth sided ring like the e-ring. I found that when I tried on the one that did sit flush against it, it didnt look like I was wearing a wedding band, and I wanted that distinction. It actually looks really good together.
KellyV- Do you have pictures of your rings? I think I have the same e-ring. I'd like to see how they look together. Thanks!
hi vintage 2010!!; I have a pic of my e-ring, but not paired with the band (yet); I had to hand it over to my dad for safe keeping (and so I wouldnt wear it around ;) My e-ring is here, I am going home next weekend so Ill get a pic of them together and send it over. I can post it here, do me a favor and PM me and Ill keep it unread so I remember to actually post it! =o); Ill try to dig aorund on the net to see if I can find a similar w-band. Please pardon the unpolished nails and non-creative photo...this was from engagement night and I had NO forewarning!
ok, here is what my wedding band looks like. Mine is not as large as this one (and a WHOLE heck of a lot cheaper!!!), it is a total of 1.96 carats, but you get the idea
I don't know if this helps (or even if my image will download), but I have a cushion cut halo ring and my wedding band does not sit flush. I haven't yet decided if I will wear them together, or separately - but if I wear them together, this is what they will look like...
$1800 sounds like a lot to me, even for a custom band, though I believe it is important to have something custom that fits perfect incase you ever wanted to have them soldered.
Thanks you two for showing your rings! That helps to get some ideas on what mine will look like. Cleo B does it bother you that they don't sit flush. In other words are you fidgeting with it?
So, I just wanted to update -- I did find a ring to fit flush against my ring, and it's not custom! I'm posting this in hopes to potentially help out another bride with a halo ring.
It's a Simon G ring (well, actually, I'm getting one for each side of my e-ring, but you can order them separately) and while it's not exactly perfect, it's substantially less money than the custom ring quote we got. I think it's this style number, but it looks like they have a few on their website.
Good luck, halo ring bees!
My round halo (with diamonds lining both sides of the ring) sits just high enough to put a thin diamond eternity band next to it. The eternity band sits under the main stone of my engagement ring, similar in style to yours, cookie82. It looks great :)
I went with a plain gold, flat band. Or try a google search for "stackable rings." My halo ring has a little height to it, so it may be more forgiving than yours. We got sick of spending money on the wedding, so my band cost $80. http://www.joyjewelers.com/modules/catalog/customizer/step1.php?products_id=165110
I don't have a pic of my two rings together yet, but they look fine. Maybe one day, we'll upgrade to an eternity band.
I'm going with a shared prong eternity band. Tried too many rings on attempting to match my band perfectly, but after suggestions from WeddingBees, I have decided I don't want it to match perfectly. Plus, an eternity band will look nice alone for doing housework or whatever else I may not want to subject my nice e-ring to. :)

@frenchfries: Yay for figuring it out ! I had the exact same problem as you with pretty much the exact same ring ! We ended up getting me a whole new set (very very similar to my original ring for sentimental reasons) that cost less then my original e-ring and "custom band", if i had given in, together. My original e-ring is going to my future daughter.
However, I was going to suggest what someone suggested to me.
Either have your e-ring blessed and skip the band or wear your e-ring on your right hand and get a totally new and unique wedding band.
Hi! same problem so I went for a very delicate diamond wedder and a larger eternity. It's all mismatched but I love that look, it goes with the vintage feel! :) SQUEAL! So excited!
@frenchfries: We ended up paying the extra money to have the rings custom made and I am glad I did. I love the look of the two bands sitting flush against my E-ring. It was such a frustration trying to find the right band with the existing styles out there. I am beyond thrilled with the result.
All of your posts were very helpful!! I am having an issue finding a wedding band to fit with my halo engagement ring. My engagement ring was purchased at Jared and so I figured I'd look for a wedding band there as well but I was very disappointed to learn that they were unable to find a wedding band to sit flush against my halo e-ring. The salesperson told me my options were to A) wear my e-ring on my right hand and a wedding band on my left, B) alternate wearing a band and e-ring on different days or c) custom design a wedding band to fit with my e-ring but he said it could cost anywhere from 1000-5000 dollars and thats just plain crazy and doesn't fit within my budget. I did find a very thin diamond band that happens to fit underneath my setting (which sits right on my finger) but the band was a little tighter and my e-ring is a little looser so thats how it fit underneath the setting to sit flush. I may just do that even though I'm not thrilled. I am very disappointed with Jared and my limited options here. I know I could have a wedding band that didn't sit flush but I find that it doesn't feel comfortable on my finger from what I tried on. If anyone has any other options or suggestions of what they did, I'd more more than happy to hear them!!! Thank you!
I was determined to get a band that fit flush with my halo. But when my fiance and I started looking we were disappointed by the selection for my ring. It was widely known that to find a band that fits would be very difficult.
I found one bad that had potential. It was very thin and would fit kinda below the diamond. The second option I found was a curve band that didn't fit flush but it looked all right together. I'm thinking about convincing my fiance I need another on on top of my e-ring to make it symmetrical
.
Here's what my rings look like together:
Herein lies the problem:
The portion of the ring that holds up the diamond is the main reason why halos are so hard to match with a band.
Mine don't sit flush...but it looks fine. I didn't want to a curved band because sometimes I like to wear the band alone. I don't have a pic of them on my finger, but here they are together.

@complexcardigans: My setting is very similar to yours (obviously since its a halo as well :-) When my FI and I picked out my engagement ring together, I never realized the trouble I'd have finding a band to fit with it. (Maybe I was just mesmerized by all the sparkly around me, I don't know!) I absolutely LOVE how your wedding ring fits with your beautiful e-ring!! It looks as if it goes together--I do love that little space in between. Is it comfortable to wear? Comfort is a big thing for me as well because I'm not a ring person... I don't want to FEEL the ring on my finger.
I have a halo e-ring (mostly halo, anyway, see pic). Does anyone have any ideas for a wedding band? I would like to wear both on my left hand!
I've thought about designing one with Jared, but I don't know how much that could cost, or even what would work with this! Nothing will fit under the center diamond.
HELP!?!?!

Mine are a match so I didn't have that problem, just thought I'd show them anyway hee hee. However, I think a gap between halo and band looks lovely if there are two mismatched thin bands that sit flush beside the halo. Like maybe the halo, a small gap, then a tiny eternity ring sitting flush beside a plain thin band

Hi, bees! FI and I are in somewhat of a conundrum. He gave me the most perfect engagement ring ever (my dream ring, actually) but now that it's time to find a wedding band, nothing really fits with it. It's a halo setting (pic attached) and even the curved wedding bands that we find at most jewelers don't fit against the ring / don't look right.
We contacted the jeweler where he purchased the e-ring and they quoted us $1800 for a custom band to fit flush against the e-ring. I thought that this was a little pricey (ok, a lot pricey) to pay for a ring that essentially has tiny, tiny diamonds that don't even go all the way around! I know it will look good, but I'm having a hard time justifying the cost.
My question is this: does anyone have a band that doesn't fit flush against their e-ring? If so, how does it look? I'm worried that if we go the route of a band that doesn't fit flush, it will look mis-matched.
Thanks, ladies!
