My ring is sim to this pic.
Jeweler is encouraging me to get a custom band with filigree on it…of course the filigree would be close but not exact, and would be on top, not sides. he also wants to contour the shape which would look pretty weird if I wore it alone, right?
I guess I want the option to wear band alone. I can’t find any pix of hex settings with bands…both with and without spaces. Can you help??? Maybe I’m just not searching the right terms????
Ever so grateful,

I just wanted to say I love your ring, it is so gorgeous and unique, I’ve never seen one like it!
I’m not sure if it would work to get a band that would both fit around your ring and look good on it’s own. A lot of people on these boards have beatufiul sets that don’t fit together though, so that might be an option. What about getting two bands, one that contours and another that is for wearing a long.
My ring has a bit of an odd shape, and I didn’t end up finding a wedding band (though I may change my mind someday), so that could be ok too. You could also get a band that doesn’t fit your ring, but then wear it alone maybe during times when you aren’t comfortable wearing your e-ring (cleaning? hiking?)

love that ring…contour would reduce a massive gap but if you wanna rock the gap then go for it
You can always get 2 bands so when you want to just were a straight band you can

They make solid plain contoured bands. I suggest finding one and putting it on with yours just so you have an idea, and visualize that it will be filigree with a much better fit. From there see if you can wear it. Personally, I say rock the gap.

thanks for your advice, ladies! ha ha “rock the gap,” i love it! and i DO like that. i “mocked” it up last night and was…ok with it. trying to decide if i should still do filigree?
so… i think i FINALLY found some similar reference online.
What do you think?
this is a filigree-style band.
this is kinda sim to how a contoured would look with my ring:
really UGLY contour
