I have a couple questions…
1) Is it okay to get a new wedding band after I am married? Right now, I have a simple and inexpensive wedding band. However, I am wondering if it is okay to upgrade to a nicer wedding band after I am married? It would not be immediate, but it would be a few years down the road when we can afford a nicer one.
2) I really don’t like the way my wedding band and engagement ring look together. I think it looks too simple, and the wedding band is so thin (a wider wedding band doesn’t look good with my engagement ring). So, I am considering a ring enhancer or wrap. However, my lifestyle and field of work would not allow me to wear enagement ring all the time. :/ But I would still like to be able to wear my wedding band. Does anyone know if there is such a thing as an enhancer/setting/wrap that would allow me to take out the engagement ring and still have the rest look like a wedding band?
I have a marquise engagement ring, and I would like something in the future to spice it up. I like the look of this, for example.
Thanks for your help!

Most people get new wedding bands during anniversaries or as gifts down the road of life as your status and lifestyle changes. Nothing wrong with that at all, some people wear their first wedding band as a circle pendant and get all kinds of eternity bands or whatever tickles their fancy. I’d suggest getting a new band blessed in a church, mosque or synagogue if you are religious so that you feel God has acknowledged your display of commitment. I’d search through stackable bands rather than enhancers though. Much more likely to find variety.

I’ve already upgraded my band already for our 1yr anniversary and I don’t regret it at all! Hubby just wanted me to keep the original for sentimental reasons.

Heck yes! Upgrades are a totally acceptable thing around here!

I gave in early and got a new wedding band. What do you think? And it turns out that I was still within the 90 day policy to exchange my first ring for a new one. 🙂 I haven’t sized it down yet, so it is still much bigger than the engagement ring.
