@shorebride105:  I have an asscher cut e-ring (solitiare w a white gold band) that I LOVE. I too thought I wanted a wedding band with channel set diamonds or some kind of eternity/half eternity band. When I tried them on, I felt like they were “too much”. My wedding band is white gold with 3 diamonds spaced out. I LOVE it!!! Just be open minded and try a few on! You will find a great one!

Your ring is stunning!  Be sure to choose something that highlights it so it can sparkle in all its glory!

For your ring (which is stunning, btw), I’d suggest something other than the complementary band suggested (I find it a bit distracting). If you prefer something with sparkle, maybe look for 2 thin eternity bands. Or, if you prefer a non-blingy band, maybe a knife-edge band or something with minimal detailing. Good luck!

I have an asscher solitaire and I’ve experimented with a few different looks so far…

Original set: 2 slim white gold micre-pave half eternity bands (stopped wearing them because they spun all the time and I lost 2 diamonds)

Then, I ordered a CZ stand-in eternity ring that held up surprisingly well over the 6 months I wore it (I wanted to get a feel for it before splurging on a diamond eternity band)

Now, I’m wearing a slim twist band with straight edges (hard to describe, see pic below).

@Miss Mauverick:  I love your current band choice.  It highlights your stone beautifully and adds just the right touch of interest.  Gorgeous!  This is along the lines of what I was trying to suggest earlier.

@shorebride105:  Just wanted to say that I love your ring. I’m pretty attached to my RB solitaire, but in another life I’d pick an asscher or cushion.  Super gorgeous!

@bnamrs4evr:  Thank you so much! I am surprisingly obsessed with this understated look.

@shorebride105:  If you can, maybe purchase a couple of inexpensive CZ/sterling silver rings in styles you like and try them out for a few days so you can get a feel for what suits you. Berricle, Overstock, and Amazon usually have good deals available.

@shorebride105:  WOW!!! Your ring is so beautiful. 🙂

I think I would go with something similar to the complementary band, but a bit wider. It is lovely, but if you wanted more sparkle, this would be a good way to accomplish that. I think your center stone is big enough to stand up to a slightly larger band.

I can’t post a pic… (Damn you, iPad!) but I have a halo that proportionately, is similar to the size of your center stone. The band on my e-ring is detailed with metal designs and some diamonds, but I too wanted more sparkle. The band I went with (custom) is the same width, but a shared prong 3/4 eternity band FULL of diamonds. It’s so sparkly! Solid diamonds.

Something similar might be the answer to your search. Is your engagement ring band 2mm? You could just go slightly up in width, 2.5 or 3mm. That extra half mm makes more difference than I thought. I would go and try some on. If you like it but don’t want a full eternity, you can always get diamonds on half or 3/4. (More cost effective too.) I had mine made custom because I was so picky about that.

I’d get a stack of different eternity bands to wear… some with asscher cut stones, some with round stones, a plain band or two (and/or bands with interesting metalwork), etc
