So I bought the low back bustier from Victoria’s Secret (without trying it on because the mall was CRAZY!)and I’m going to have to return it. I’m a 36D and the bra curved in too much at the top and was super awkward. Here it is:
Now I’m wondering what to get. My dress has a normal back, not too low. It’s a corset with tons of support. I originally picked the bustier because that’s what they had at the bridal salon and THAT ONE fit great. I’m worried that all of Victoria’s Secret strapless bras will be a fail. Any suggestions?

Most bridal salons sell the bridal bustier’s too, you should check with them to see if you can purchase one through them since they fit so well!
Victoria Secret’s merchandise is crap, it looks great in the pictures but when you bring it home it falls apart. So lame.

I’d recommend looking online, cause thats what I did! I have D cups too and with boobs that big, when I tried on my dress with a normal strapless bra I have I just felt like I didn’t get the left I wanted. I was squished, but not lifted, ya know?
I went to David’s Bridal but I didn’t care for the ONE option they have there for bigger boobed brides. It was kind of flimsy and cheap feeling (but not cheap at $75). And it kind of turned into a fiasco (wrote about that yesterday).
Anyways, yesterday afternoon I went to herroom.com on the recommendation of several bees and they have a TON of different styles there. I ended up ordering 5 different bras to try in 2 different sizes and getting them all shipped to me (free shipping, woot woot!). They have a really good return policy– 100% back no questions asked if they are post-marked within 15 days of shipping. I ordered yesterday and my UPS tracking says they’ll be here Monday, so I have well over a week to try them on and make a decision.

@muckmoo1: I just called and they said they have to order them and they take 6 weeks to come in. I’m getting married in less than 9 weeks so I don’t think I’m going to push it… 🙁
I guess I’ll have to look online. How frustrating! I used to be smaller a couple of years ago (36B) and loved Victoria’s Secret but now I can’t believe how much they DON’T cater to anyone over a C cup.

Strapless bras suck, they do you absolutely no favours, just cut you in all the wrong places are not very flattering at all. I’d suggest a bustier or if you can, get your seamstress to sew cups into your dress, that way you won’t need a bra at all.

For my dress that had a corset in the back, I took one of my old wonderbra strapless bras and cut the sides off and got my seamstress to sew it into my dress. It worked great! It was my size so I knew it was the right bra.
