$6000, but we’re under budget right now. Having 70-75 guests.

Our total budget is $12,000, but about $2,000 of that is hotel rooms.  Right now we’re projected to be under-budget coming in at about $11,000.

@mnevans:  in total, we spent btwn $40K and $45K, it is a lot, however, other people need to consider the area that we live in. for the type of wedding and amount of people we had at our wedding, thats considered cheap. (crazy I know)

We set our budget to $20,000 but it will be more like $22/23,000. We just had no idea how expensive everything is!

Our total budget including rings and honeymoon will be about 15% of our combined pre-tax salary, since Fi and I are paying for everything ourselves. Not sure where I read that 15% number but it stuck with me as a reasonable amount to save up and spend on a wedding.

We’re spending about 24k not including my Ering or a honeymoon. FI thinks we’re only spending 22, ha! I’ve been buying about $100 worth of random stuff (candles, for example) every other week so thats all flying under the official budget radar.

We’re inviting around 180 people. We never really had a specific goal other than not spending beyond our means. We’ve gotten great deals in some places (my dress was less than $600), and splurged in other areas (a videographer). Honestly, at this point, I wouldn’t change a thing. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to have the wedding of my (realistic) dreams.
