I’m seriously thinking of getting mine from Kroger… will anyone really care?

their whipped frosting tastes just as good as any $8/slice cake I’ve had at anyone else’s wedding!

We had a Publix cake that turned out great!  We had the florist add a few flowers to it to jazz it up.  It was $300 (including delivery)and was made to feed 70 people (including serving the top layer).  I would definitely recommend it.  It turned out fantastic and tasted great.  No one believed it was a Publix cake!

Walmart has GREAT cake and so does Kroger. People wouldn’t know the difference but who care if they do as long as the cake is good.

I haven’t gotten a wedding cake there, but I do know Sam’s makes amazing cakes!  I do know people who have gotten their wedding cakes at Costco and they were great as well!

Are you looking there to save on funds? Or because you already love them?  If you’re try to save but are worried the cake might not come out looking as good as other places, you could always opt for awesoe cupcakes instead, which could be arranged and decorated with flowers etc.

We got my grandmother’s anniversary cake from a small grocery store and it was the best cake I have ever had and yes I have had lots of cake from real bakerys.

How much are the wedding cakes from costco or sams club? I dont think you save that much money with them. My cake is for 75 people its a 3 tiered red velvet cake with chocolate fudge frosting and the largest tier is 12 inches and it cost $300, its nearly the same price as what I heard sams club would charge

If you are trying to save some money and you like the way their cake tastes, I say go for it. I also second what other PP have said and make sure you calculate to see which route is cheaper before you settle on a decision. I was going to do cupcakes but I found a local baker that does WONDERFUL cakes with marshmallow, or buttercream frosting that is making me two tiered red velvet cake with cream cheese filling to feed 50 people for 175.00. I’ve always wanted a wedding cake, so I’m glad I checked before doing the cupcakes. 🙂

I was just looking into Publix and found a beautiful cake there! I can’t wait to try it!

Who cares where you get it as long as it’s delicious:)

Summy–we had a vanilla cake with custard frosting and buttercreme frosting.  It was sooooo delicious!!!!  I hope yours turns out great!  We went the route of bringing them a picture of what we liked and they made it just the way we asked.  I highly recommend having them deliver it too–one less thing to worry about and then the liability is on them to get it there in one piece!!
