can you ask her to send you pictures of her custom work? and ask her what local stores her items are sold in so that you can maybe give them a call?
I think most of the people on Etsy are pretty respectable. I wouldn't worry much. But if she says they are sold in stores, why not ask her where they are sold, then call up the stores and confirm? No harm in that.
Yes she actually does have a return policy! She says if you are not 100% not happy with the result send it back and you get a full refund.
Also, for future reference...if someone rips you off on etsy. are you just plain out of luck!? 0-o
Can you share her site? I am trying to find a great topper. The one i liked was way too pricey for us.

I generally make all purchases like that (or ebay) with my credit card (through paypal), that way, if anything goes wrong, I can dispute with the credit card and have a reasonable chance of getting my money back.

So Ladies ,
I have a question. I have a wedding cake topper (custom) that I am in LOVE with on etsy! I just think its the bees knees! haha
ANYWAYS here is what my dillema is , her shop is brand spanking new. Ive had several conversations with her through messages and shes helpful and very sweet.
She has sold one of these toppers on etsy but she said that her toppers are sold at local bridal stores in her area.
Is it safe to go ahead and purchase do you think??
