You can get custom toppers made... or abstract ones without people at all (i.e. birds)... or paint off-the-shelf ones. I pulled together a bunch of links a while ago - here they are!
We looked for a long time, but couldn't find anything we really liked. We will either just be having flowers, or a monogram or...nothing. :)
I was thinking about putting a Double Happiness cake topper in Chinese and maybe flowers as well.
Didn't Miss Swan have a post on this? I second etsy as well! We are using a nontraditional cake topper because of this.
Mr. Yorkie and I had our silhouettes on our cake! It was kind of our theme... but would look nice with any kind of wedding. I don't think it gets more personalized than that! :o)
I like that idea, Mrs. Yorkie! Where did you get those?
Oops, I just noticed your question. I gave our baker the digital file of our silhouettes, which I created... and she used them to cut the shapes out of fondant. Super easy!

Any ideas for wedding cake toppers? I need some ideas. I am Asian and my fiance is Caucasian and we're having problems finding something that works. Flowers maybe?
