What about Jelly Beans? You could pick a color that matches your color scheme because they come in so many different colors! You can probably buy them in bulk for cheap too! Also, I really think Jelly Belly's could be interesting cause they have fun flavors like Dr. Pepper and Popcorn. I am not sure how expensive it would be as an assortment. Probably better to go with something in your color scheme!
Jelly beans is such a cute idea! Also, nonpareils (spelling?) -- pretty and pastel and minty!
I think we are going to go with heart-shaped Dove chocolates. They won't be the personalized ones, but there is a cute saying inside each wrapper. Also, Dove only lets you persoanlize the square ones, and I think the hearts are cute.
At Michael's they have bags of M&Ms in all the fancy colors that you can order online. They're not customized, but you can get them in your wedding colors! Also, as an alternative to candy, you could do some yummy roasted almonds or other nuts.
I had no idea that Michael's had bags of M&M's as well. That's good to know! I will have to go check it out!
Jelly beans, rock candy, and anything colorful and covered with sugar look really nice.
@Mouse: I love your roasted nuts idea! Mr. K would have LOVED that! It appeals to those healthy types!
I recently thought of doing chocolate covered espresso beans! I realized you could buy them on the internet in bulk for really reasonable prices and thought it would be such a fun edible favor :)
The M&M's are cheaper if you don't do the customizing (writing anything on them, or pictures, etc). You can go online and order about any color!

I bought the cutest tins at Michaels and plan to fill them with candy so I can give them away as wedding favors. I initially thought about using customized M&M's but realized that they are quite expensive. Does anyone have any other ideas I can put into the tins that are fairly inexpensive but would look nice? I hate the idea of using Jordan Almonds. Quite honestly, I've always thought they tasted gross. Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.
