If they are two separate celebrations, you should have two separate invites.
I got an invite from a friend a couple of years ago for his destination wedding. It was the usual invite, with a reception card and an rsvp card. They also included another card that said (I can't exactly remember the exact words), "A wedding celebration will be held in Los Angeles, California in July 2007. Invitation to follow." It went something like that...
I thought it was really great that they let us know right off the bat the they will have a celebration here in our city. In my case, I was in a tight budget then but I still wanted to attend their wedding. It was great knowing right away that I won't have to spend that money for travel because they were gonna have one here.

Hi Hive!
I've found a couple of old boards relating to this topic... but none really fits my situation... My FI and I are having our wedding in May and we'd love it if everyone on our guest list could come and they're all invited. However, we realize that since my entire family is from Washington State and our wedding is in Pennsylvania not many of them will be able to make it. We still want to invite them and give them all the option to come if they wish. A few weeks after the ceremony and reception in Pennsylvania, we're also having a second reception/celebration in Washington State. All of the same people are invited, and they can choose to come to either or both (or neither...)
We already have our invitations to the wedding, which everyone will be getting. We'll be including an insert also inviting people to the West Coast Celebration. My problem is this: how do I word the insert for the west coast celebration? I want everyone to know that they're welcome at either or both and that we're not looking for two gifts or anything.
I've scanned the boards and tried google... but, alas, I don't know how to word this. Any help would be greatly appriciated.
