Long story short, I was baptized with Red High Tops and so I want to follow tradition of wearing red wedding shoes! I’m having an awful time finding shoes that I love! I’m ordering my dress in October and would love to find my shoes so I know A. How to walk in them! and B. To make sure my dress will be the right length. I usually don’t walk in heels mainly because I end up barefoot after a few short hours. Maybe it’s because I’m buying the cheapos??!
I found Christian Louboutins that I am absolutely in love with! I need to decide if I want to take the plunge and practice walking in the red peep-toe pumps with a 4.5 inch OR be OK in the silver 3 inch pumps. Our chapel has a marble floor and I’m not really interested in busting my face on my wedding day!

I love love love the red ones!!!

I own 4.5+ inch Louboutins and they are NOT that comfortable, so I don’t think it really matters if you were buying cheapos in the past! lol I do think whichever ones you choose you should break them in first or at least practice walking. I personaly like the silver ones, but the red ones may not be too uncomfortable because it looks like they have a platform in the front.
Also, you’ll be wearing a wedding dress, no one will care if your a slow walker on your wedding day! 🙂

@FutureMrsK2014: i am personally not a fan of red shoes (yes, i’m probably the only person in the world who doesn’t like this look). I like the sparkly ones better. Not only will it be a sparkly touch to your wedding day, but they will be super cute to wear out again. The close toe is also ore versatile, as you can wear them in the fall, spring and summer (and maybe winter depending on where you live).

I voted for the red ones. They’re so beautiful, but really, every Louboutin is!
Tip: try them on in store, don’t buy them online, if it’s your first pair of Loubis. They fit a lot smaller than other luxury brands (well, I find they fit a lot smaller than Gucci, which runs true to size) and they are made a bit more narrow.
I just looked at them again…*sigh*…they’re both gorgeous, you have great taste!

Those red Very Prives are gorgeous! But I’ll have to second PPs-they’re not going to be comfortable and be sure you size up and pad…a lot!
I think the silver glitter ones are the Simple 85s…I have those too and even though they’re low, they’re not super comfy either, totally pinch my toes.
What’s your wedding color scheme? If there’s red-definitely go for it! I also think the red will be super versatile for future wears too

I like the red ones better, but voted silver.
If you kick them off an hour into the reception, your dress will be WAY too long if it’s been hemmed for the red ones! But it will probably be more okay if you kick off the silver ones.

definately try them both on first. louboutins have a short toe box so despite the height you may find the open toe more comfortable, all depending on the shape of your foot/arch of your foot.

I like the red ones, especially because of your red shoe tradition!!

- Wedding: November 2014 - Sea Ranch Lodge
Silver looks a little more dainty/ subtle and will probably match more stuff after the wedding if you want to wear them again… but then again it might just be the glitter getting my attention 🙂
Either way enjoy your new shoes, they’re both super cute!!

While I love the red ones, 4.5 inch Louboutins will not be comfortable! I would go for the silver ones with a more modest heel, plus I love glitter.
But make sure you try them on first. I personally won’t wear shoes, no matter how cute, if they’re super uncomfortable.

The red ones are amazing but they do look uncomfortable. Maybe find some shorter red heels?

I think you definitely should try them on in store because you really won’t know which one you’d prefer comfort-wise unless you try them on. For comfort, you’ll definitely want to use ball of the foot cushions (like Stiletto hardware) and I’d recommend bringing them to the store to try on with the shoes so you know you have the correct fit. If you’re worried about slipping on the marble floor, you can just take your Loubs to a shoe service and have them soled with the Vibram red soles
