Start pinterest boards for each “scheme” and as the planning process continues your ideas will evolve into something you love.  I look back on my original pinterest boards, versus my current (purchased items) boards and I can see trends.  πŸ™‚

@Soon2bMixon13:  Those color combos all sound beautiful. Each of them sets a different mood, though. What season and time of day is your wedding? I would think the black and red would be best at night and the softer colors would be best in the daytime because of how they will look in pictures in artificial v. natural lighting. The peacock scheme could go evening or daytime depending on how you set it up. That’s not to say that you can’t have whatever colors you like whenever you want! Does the venue already have colors that could help direct your choice?

I like the first and last choices the best.  I think, though, that the last might suit a spring/summer wedding better, so I’d choose the 1st choice – it does sound magical. πŸ™‚  HOWEVER, if you’re anything like me (and you may be, considering you’ve changed your mind so many times already) WAIT for a while before you make any final decisions on this (ie buy decorations etc).  Give yourself time to be sure.  With MUCH of wedding planning, you are bound to change your mind, and you don’t want to spend your budget on various ideas you had along the way. πŸ™‚  Happy Planning!

The first one sounds more fall. I like that combo.   I actually couldn’t figure out my colors at first. I wanted blue and brown..however I didn’t know what shade.  Then my matron of honor said her cousin did navy blue bridesmaids dresses and pink flowers..and I thought that looked nice. So I picked that combo.  We will have blue uplighting and pink flowers for centerpieces.  Other combos that I’ve seen is grey and pink, and  blue, purple and green.  Make sure you pick your favorite color and find some other color/s to accent it.  Maybe think of your favorite flowers too?

Have you decided on a venue yet? Sometimes the venue gives you inspiration with which direction you want to go in. Mine has a lot of chandeliers, so I’m going for this kind of look, with lots of gilded accents:

it’s not a catastrophe.  you’re just indecisive (like me).  all the colors sound great (and even if it didn’t, you should still go with what you love).

I’m lucky that my venue has chiavari chairs as their standard chairs.  If you can get it at a great rate.and it’s within your budget ..go for it!!

@Soon2bMixon13:  Buying the lights sounds like a risky investment to me. People would rather rent from a store offering a variety of lights, not find one person with one set of lights. I’ve heard that when you set a budget, you should think of the things that are your top 3 priorities. I also think you should budget assuming that you will not make your money back by reselling your things.

@Soon2bMixon13:  Have you taken your budget, and broken it down, piece by piece (I mean every little detail goes on the list)?  If you have an unlimited budget, it might not matter much, but if you do have a budget to stick to, you may find when you actually include all the little things (they add up!!!), your expensive, 10X better uplights might not fit.  I think it’s great if you can make it work, but I’d just make sure you consider everything.  (As an example, I was sure I had to have chair covers at the beginning, so I put a deposit down…  Now, I could really use that $ for something else and wish I’d not been so quick to jump on the decor so early on…) πŸ™‚
