it really depends on which shade of purple you pick. how about a strong purple with a blue? (i'm partial to blues!) that also allows you to play all along the blue-purple spectrum so you're not stuck to just one tone of a color.
I LOVE the color combo of a deep purple with like a golden yellow or even a nice shade of green. Like an eggplant purple. But like nybride09 said, it really depends on the shade of purple you're talking about. You can stay away from the whole Easter egg look if you stick with deeper/darker shades.
My favorite color is purple too! And I will be getting married on a ranch/winery! AND one of my colors are purple, too! It was kind of crazy reading your question, 'cause I kept thinking, "Wow, just like me."
I decided to go with berry colors. My colors are fuschia, plum and a bluish purple.
Ok, here's an inspiration pic for you. This is pretty close to my colors. But my arrangements look different.
i have the prefect picture i found online to show you but Im not at home when I get home Ill post it. Its a deep purple and gold. It was AMAZING!
I am also using purple, but a dark purple and my accents are cream, blush, green, soft colors to balance out the dark plum/eggplant/purple for summer.
Ok I dont remember where I found this but I saved it to my computer so I am giving credit to someone I just dont know who! But I loved it!
Oooo... I love the deep purple and champagne gold look, which would be great for a winery wedding!
Check out Miss Poodle's posts too. Purple is one of her colours and she posts LOTS of inspiration pics. I think done right, purple can look really classy.
I saw this website on weddingbee a while back and saved it to my favorites.. I think it has the best color inspiration!!

I like the plum purple with sage green the best.. but that's just me :)
I agree with previous posters - I love deep purple with warm light/bright accent colours like teal, bright or sage green, champagne gold or sunshine yellow. Another combination that I love but I don't see used as often is deep purple with copper and ivory. It's really gorgeous and sophisticated. :)
This is one of my favorite weddings from Project Wedding - they're purple and gold, and not Easter-eggish in the least.

dark purple bm dresses with a lavender strap focus more on the dark purple then the lavenar becasue lavendar is more associated with easter.
Thank you all, these are perfect!!! I fell in love with the light blue and plum theme. The hard part is going to be picking bridesmaid dresses. Anyone seen unique plum dresses? Thanks so much!!

<span style="font-size: 10pt; color: black; font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif";">Hi!! So I have been drawn to one color for my wedding inspiration which is purple but I have no idea what colors to incorporate with it. Our wedding is at a winery next May and purple may look pretty, but I saw Kendra’s (the former playmate) wedding colors which were lavender/purple and the whole bridal party looked straight out of an Easter egg hunt. Any advice on how to incorporate this color without it being too much, would be greatly appreciated!!
