Ok so I plan on doing just blue dresses for my bridesmaids with their cowgirl boots and yellow flowers. The guys with be wearing their cowboy boots, jeans, a white dress shirt and a brown vest. Stick with the whole country theme. We both are big hunters and love the outdoors so I would love to do camo vests instead of brown vests. But I guess I wasn’t sure if camo vests would look good with a blue and yellow wedding. What do you think?

We are super outdoorsy and hunters too, but something about camo vests at a wedding just makes me cringe! Sorry! And that’s coming from someone who had a pretty casual wedding.
I think a brown vest with jeans and boots would look really nice.

Love the brown vest idea!

I understand that camo has a role in some people’s lives that it will never have in mine. I suggest you will be happier in future with your wedding pics if you choose brown vests.

@sarahroby: Your instinct about camo is bang on. Brown is a much better idea. Camo purely functional, and wearing it in another context, outside of jeans and sweats to the grocery store or something, just doesn’t work.
If you want to give a nod to hunting at your wedding, I would do it by serving game.

I agree that you can bring the love of hunting to a wedding without camo vests. I don’t like the look and think it would clash. Maybe a cute wedding cake topper where you each have a rifle? Like this
