How pretty! I think you can just use the color and not have to have a theme - it's what we're doing. The colors tie things together and using blocks of them and ribbons and such, people won't be like, but why purple? It'll just look gorgeous.
As I'm typing though - purple mountain's majesty?
Yeah I thought of Purple Mountain's majesty when you said mountains, too! Which mountain chain?
And i think you can just use the color and not have a theme... or go with a floral you like and use that on invites or something. Good luck!

Ooh smokies/blue ridge area? I'd go with purple-y blue and let the mountains guide your decor! I love hearing about mountain weddings... we considered it since his family has a second house in boone NC but decided against it, so I'm all for living vicariously through helping other brides come up with great mountain wedding ideas :)
You don't *have* to have a theme. Just use what you like!

We are likely having a fall wedding (Oct). That being said, we like the colors of purple (eggplant or bright purple) with silver and black. Any themes that come to mind? We are trying to avoid damask (Fi not crazy about it). Im having a hard time getting a vision to get started with the planning.
