Is your favorite color your wedding color or did you wedding color become your favorite color?
My favorite color is pink, but I promised Mr Frenchie a pink free wedding. Yellow is one of our weddings colors and it has become my new favorite color.
Purple is one of our wedding colors (the main one) and it has always been ONE of my favorites but now it just keeps growing on me ;)
Blue has always been my favorite color. I ended up going with aubergine. And now I'm obsessed with it! :) I've been buying purple stuff like crazy!
Our colors are orange and brown - we went with a fall theme for our October wedding. I like both colors, but neither are my faves. My favorites are pink/coral and blue/teal. They just did not happen to go with a fall wedding in NH!
Kind of. My favorite color is pink. And our wedding colors are going to be colors of a sunset-yellows, oranges, and pinks.
Our main wedding color is red, which is also both FI and my favorite color. :)
Lime green is my favorite color - so we're having a lime green, espresso and white wedding. Of course I couldn't put my girls in lime green dresses...so we're throwing in a wine color. ;)
FrenchBullDog, my favorite color is pink TOO! I love navy blue though also and that's a main color of our wedding.
I already let the fiance know that since no pink is allowed at the wedding, my first girl will have everything all pink and my baby shower will be all pink lol.
I'm with FrenchBullDog on this one. I LOVE pink, but promised my Mr. no pink. And actually they wedding colors are mainly his influence. One of his favorite colors is black, my dress is ivory and he chose copper after seeing it at a wedding show. ;)
Our color is blue, like his eyes. We spent many years apart, and I held them in my heart.
Yuuup. My fave color is and has pretty much always been purple. I only realized the connection after we chose the colors. Haha.
Yep! Bright green is my favorite color and our wedding colors are chocolate brown, bright green and orange. Everyone around me expects green to be a part of our wedding! I am also including the groom's favorite color of orange so both of us are represented.
my favorite color is pink & i wasn't backing down on making it part of our wedding. so we're compromising - our colors will be gray & pink!
M fiance has always known I would pick a shade of blue. I made him promise me that when we register he won't let me pick everything out in blue--I think that could make for a pretty boring house. I'm going with a medium vintage blue and charcoal as my colors with cream and pale yellow accents to make the flowers easier.
Our colors are both our favorite colors - deep purple and dark, gun metal grey. It made choosing colors really simple!
My favorite color is green and I originaly wanted to use it but then I saw Tiramisu's wedding and I knew blue was the way to go!
Light blue is FI's favorite color and I like it too!
I agree with yohagopelo - my favorite color is pink and it wouldn't be my wedding if I didn't incorporate it. I suggested doing it with Navy so there is a nice balance and it isn't pink overkill - so far he has loved the pics he's seen!
woo hoo, i'm one in a million: i despise the color pink (not to make anyone hate me, it looks fantastic on me wearing it, but i just don't like it!) so i would LOVE our colors to be cornflower blue and black! (with white of course)

My favorite color always changes depending on my mood, or what item I'm looking at. :) I generally like bright and bold colors, hence our blue and hot pink color scheme. Mr. T's favorite color is orange. I tried to consider it as a color option, but it just didn't fit our venue and what we had in mind. :) Plus, I don't think anyone wanted to wear orange. :)
My favorite colors are black and white and that is what the colors of my wedding are. I even included a bit of red.
Neat question! Red is my favorite color, but I was never really feeling it as part of my wedding. Our colors are light pink and brown!
Blue is my 2nd favorite color (and my FI's favorite color) so all the towels and bed linens we registered for are blue. I get pink in the wedding and he gets blue in the house. Happy compromise!
My favorite color is brown and various shades of brown were definitely the focus of our wedding colors.
I love the color red -- but FI and I didn't want to have a school themed wedding (one of our school's main colors was red). Light blue (periwinkle specifically) has been one of my favorite colors since I was a little girl (my current car is even that color) so when FI ws gung ho about a blue wedding, I dove right in!
My favorite color since I was little is black. I love black - it's very classic! My parents thought was going through a faze when I wanted a black and white room. My second favorite color is blue. My sorority colors are pink and green so they have slowly been taking over my wardrobe. I also won a session with a stylist a while back and she helped me to figure out what colors look the best on me and one of the colors was purple so I have also taken a liking to purple. I also prefer silver to gold! Who knew I had so many colors that I like.
With all of this said, our wedding, as of right now, will be black, gold, blush pink and cream of course. I'm not engaged yet (hopefully soon), but we have discussed several times the color of our wedding and this is the scheme we keep returning to. I'm sure that once I do get engaged and we decided on location and the when this may change but for now I love just thinking about it. Most likely it will be a combination of those colors above!
My favorite color is green, green, green! If I had my way, my bridesmaids would be in green, everything would be green. But - I was nice and let the fiance choose the wedding colors, and we have purple as the dominant color, with a hint of mint green :(
I'm with you miss frenchie! pink is also my favorite color, and even though the FH didn't mind, I thought it'd be nice to make the colors not too uber girly - we went with blue, brown and creme =)
Grey has been my favorite color since high school. Hence my username. When it came time to pick our wedding colors, we started with green and orange, but quickly changed to grey and pink. I LOVE grey. He actually chose the pink! His niece is our FG and he wanted her to get to wear a pink dress. Her dress is actually the only pink in the whole wedding!
So yes, my wedding color is my fav color. :-) Interesting topic.
We both love red, but I didn't want to overdo it. So we are using white, blue/green (think "seaglass") and accents of red. We both love it, it's not too feminine not too masculine, and perfect for us.
Our wedding colors are blue, yellow, and orange. My favorite color is yellow. I was trying to decide between pink and orange and since his favorite color is orange I decided to go with that (plus it's subtle hints of our alma mater with the orange and blue...Auburn!)
pink is also my favorite color... but we're doing navy & yellow for our wedding colors... perfect for a classic, a little bit preppy, Michigan inspired, summer wedding on the lake!
My favorite color is blue. We were originally going to use it in our color scheme, but decided against it. Now that we used gold in our wedding colors, I'm actually liking it a lot lately. I've usually been a white gold person, but I'm getting into gold a little.
Sort of both. Blue has always been my favorite color, and I like shades of green. I also like the color combination of chocolate brown with pastels. Our wedding colors were chartreuse green and chocolate brown, and I find myself gravitating to those colors even more now. Both our bathroom and living room are gradually starting to look like our wedding! I've noticed other couples doing this, too.
I love pink but did not want a pink wedding, much to FI's relief. His fave color is blue, so we went with navy for the wedding. We're both very happy with how it's all turning out!
my favorite colors are dark purple and yellow, and my FI likes gray. The BM and GM are wearing gray, chartreuse accents(shoes, ties, some linens..) and deep purple flowers. I don't like the color pink either, so my FI was happy. Now on the other hand my sister has everything, and i mean everything pink. she told me she is making me wear a pinky fluffy dress for her wedding since i'm making her wear gray! haha.
i find myself buying al this gray stuff! for our registry! we have gray towels, grey linens, gray blankets...it's funny!

My favorite colors are purple and green. Guess what my wedding colors were?! :) You bet, purple and green. Mr SoniPapdi didn't know if he'd like it in the beginning .. but he said that it was my decision since it was "my wedding" .. thus I got my way. He liked it in the end when it all came together. :)
my favorite colors are blue and yellow. no blue in our wedding, but there is some yellow in the flowers & my shoes!! My fiance didn't have an opinion on the colors, so I just chose what I liked: brown, green, white & yellow
Our main wedding color is dark purple. Our accent color is pale pink. Pink is my favorite color.
My favourite color is purple, yet our wedding colors are yellow, green, and aqua. In all of the weddings I have attended to it was pink, purple, pink, red, purple, peach...you get the idea. I wanted something fresh and original.
