Wine, cream and chocolate (or variations including burgundy, ivory and various shades of brown from dark chocolate to champagne) can work, but you need to be thoughtful of your choices. Just because it’s one of your wedding colors doesn’t mean it can be used anywhere.

Brown shoes for example, with a wine colored dress seems a bit off to me. A metallic copper or bronze shoe with a burgundy colored dress however likely would work. Remember that in some cases you may have to alter the shade to make it work.

What color tuxes or suits have you planned for the men? The easy way to bring in the chocolate brown is with their ties and/or boutonniere. Don’t limit yourself to a solid color tie, a stripe or pattern with 2 or 3 of the colors is more interesting. Black and brown, or grey and brown are actually very sophisticated color combinations.

You could do a chocolate suit. But if you go with back you could have either chocolate or wine vests and ties.  If you go with wine, you could have the boutonniere be a brown orchid or simply have the stems of the bouts wrapped in chocolate colored ribbon
