My reception is Nov 27. Orig it was in December but the hotel made us change the date (LONG story). We’re doing a Christmas theme, it’s my FAV holiday & we can use the decor after!
I need help with the colors I have changed it 10 times & I still don’t know!
I know I deff want gold or champagne (My ring is yellow gold & my dress has champagne beading)
Now the other color I LOVE pink but my FI isn’t too excited about pink. We normally have a purple x-mas tree so I have purple ornaments already but not enough
Or I was thinking I could do something more traditional like dark green or dark red but I just don’t know!

I think if you’re going for a Christmas theme, then you should have at least one “traditional” Christmas color, unless you’re known far and wide for your purple tree, then I would change my vote from red/green to purple. Between red and green though, I would pick red, because it tends to go very well with champagne and gold and still look very Christmas-y even without green.

Could you make gold one of your accent colors instead? There is NO reason to choose two colors when you could choose 3 or 4! You could do fun punchy red and greenish teal and gold accents for a modern twist on the traditional Christmas colors. 🙂

Personally I think that Ivory, Gold, Champagne, White & Dark Red would be beautiful. Mixing metalics with white and ivory looks wintery and elegant, and adding in a dark red would make it very romantic & bring in the holiday. There are some great inspiration pictures online. Google Christmas wedding and go to images.. I’m sure you will find a LOT of inspiration.

I think you should do gold/champagne with one jewel-toned Christmas color. My friend’s wedding was champagne and emerald and it was really beautiful!

I like red as an accent with gold and champagne because it really says “Christmas” to me – plus it would be really rich looking which I think works well with a winter wedding (instead of pink)
Plus it might be a bit easier to find red decor for your theme. Just a thought – for example I really wanted beaded pears but they are impossible to find right now – I’d have way better luck if it were closer to the holidays.

Well, I guess you could go with red since you know during the holidays, red and gold are the two colors you will most likely find most of. So atleast you will have plenty to choose from. I really like the idea of gold and purple though. That was my vote. I like the fact that you can have a holiday theme, but not go so literal with it.

What about a cranberry color? that is being used more and more for holiday. Cranberry and silver, or cranberry and champagne?

How about different shades of purple (violet, royal, berry) and champane.
