If you're looking for a "designer" look, but don't want to pay the price for the wrappers, definitely try using paper doilies :)
It gives the cupcakes the same look for only a few cents!

Yay for cupcakes! We're doing a small cake for us to cut on top of the cupcake tower, and then making 120 cupcakes ourselves in these cool liners - (Found at FancyFlours.com only $9.50 for 45 cups! )
BUT set-up like this -
We got these designer pink and fuchsia cupcakes wrappers from Koyal for my bridal shower
Just use double sided tape on these. Wonderful idea. I will use this at my sons wedding 9/24/2011

Aren't they pretty? If you like those, just type "designer cupcake wrappers" into google and see what comes up. Problem is, they are always so pricey. I love the ones that have the paper cut-out edges.
