  • Wedding: March 2010

We wanted a March wedding so our family could enjoy Spring training baseball in Arizona when they came for the wedding.  The date was the only Saturday left in March at our venue- hence March 13.  Nope, I don’t mind that we will occasionally have a Friday the 13th anniversary!

Our date choices started with narrowing down based on when I’ll have my period, then when his SIL was due, then giving time before and after baby since they’d have to travel, then when my sister is possibly adopting, then family birthdays…when we were done with all that, without having too long or short of an engagement, we were left with this weekend and next.  The reception site wasn’t available next weekend, so we’re getting married this weekend.

We wanted a summer wedding.  We chose a date that both our church and reception site were available, making sure to leave room for FI’s parent’s anniversary (8/7) and his sister’s anniversary (7/12).

We chose my dad’s birthday as our wedding date when I realized it fell on a Saturday night in 2011.

I originally wanted July 31, I work at a school so summer would have been perfect. Unfortunately the venue was booked that day and the next available dates weren’t until October…So of the dates left we picked 10-09-10…figured it would be an easy anniversary to remember (for FI..lol)

  • Wedding: September 2010

I knew that I wanted to get married in September and September 11 was the only date availble at the location that I wanted to have the ceremony and reception. Go figure. Anyhow, we (really my FI) had a bit of apprehension about the date at first, now we are okay with it.

I’m right there with some of you. I’m a teacher and literally cannot FATHOM getting a wedding planned and executed during the school year OR the one and a hlaf week Christmas break.  I’d LOVE to have an early fall wedding, but it’s just too much stress. 🙂

June isn’t too hot in Montana, and it’s enough after school gets out that I can spend some time getting ready before it’s “go time”.

2011 was purely for my sanity and pocketbook.

Ideally, we would have had our wedding in the fall, so that we could have photos with the fallen leaves (we started dating in the fall and one of our first dates involved going out to take photos).  But being a professor, it was important to me to not have it interfere with the academic year.  We got engaged in July 2009, but decided to have a 2011 wedding to ensure enough time to plan and save up money.  We also thought that by having it in May, there would be less conflicts our friends’ weddings scheduled for next summer.

  • Wedding: June 2009

We chose our date because we had to wait until my husband had graduated from college.  I wanted to get married in December but I didn’t want to wait another 6 months!  And it’s good that we didn’t because we had to move a month after our wedding.

we didn’t get the dates we wanted, so we got stuck with the one we have.  no other meaning.

Me and FH wanted to get married close to the date we started dating.

We fell in love in November, so we are getting married in November. =)

  • Wedding: June 2010

We wanted either a spring or summer wedding, but didn’t really want to wait til 2011 so we were looking at summer 2010 dates. My fiance started reading off the Saturdays in June/July/August; as soon as he said July 24th we knew that was our wedding date – our first date had been on January 24th 🙂

we wanted a wedding over a holiday weekend so that my fiance’s family would have an extra day to travel (they have a 3,000-mile trip for this event!).  we pondered the fourth of july but it just ended up not being feasible, so we have labor day weekend instead.
