Hey fellow Beeboarders! I just discovered our wedding day falls on the birthday of one of my FI's cousins. She is an absolute sweetheart of a girl and I don't want to completely overlook her birthday just because we're getting married, so I was wondering if anyone had encountered this before and what they did to celebrate the individual in question? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :-)
My FI's birthday was the day before a rehearsal dinner that we attended, so the bride and groom surprised him with a small cake. It was sweet and simple, and everybody got to enjoy the dessert. If she's not invited to your rehearsal dinner, you could always leave an extra something at her table setting (if you've got assigned seats), or attached to her escort card - a little charm or even just a short note acknowledging her day and thanking her for sharing it with you.
it'll be my mom's bday on the day before the rehearsal and an aunt's bday on the day of the rehearsal. i think we'll have bday cake for them and make it a bday party too.
My sister is getting married on a birthday...in a little less than a month! I'm not expecting anything, but if I were a little girl I'd love to get some special attention on the day. Maybe you could all sing Happy Birthday? What about sticking a candle in her piece of wedding cake or something?
My best friend from elementary school's birthday is on my wedding day, and both her children are in the wedding! I'm trying to think of something cute too...
We just attended a wedding where the wedding date was also the wedding anniversary of the bride's parents and the birthday of one of her bridesmaids. Her BM took the opinion that she was getting to attend a huge party for free :) For her parents they played a special anniversary dance song that they danced to.
A couple of things you could do. You could have a birthday cake instead of a groom's cake. And also you could have the DJ or band play her favourite song and announce before they play it that it's her birthday, wish her a happy bday and then play the song in her honour.

No one said anything, but then again, I'm 24 and got to drink for free on my birthday, so I guess I can't complain.
