My ceremony is at 5:30.
I was figuring we need to be done at the hair salon by 12:30 to give us time to eat and get ready etc. I told the salon this. They booked us from 8am-10:30 am. I’m not really happy about this. I don’t want to be ready TOO early.
I asked them to move it to 9am – which the girl did – they have my party of 7 (myself, 4 bms – all updos I think, and my mom and FH’s mom for blowdrys) booked with 4 stylists – how long should this really take?

Updos usually don’t take that long. For my wedding I had one stylist come to our hotel room, and she did updos for myself and 3 BMs in less than 2 hours. If you have 4 stylists for 7 people, I would think you’d be fine starting around 10:30, but they probably want to have a time cushion just incase.

@Little_Nut88: the girl on the phone kinda put me off a little – she made a comment about it being a saturday which is a busy day for them and they have to accomodate other clients. Really? It’s a wedding party…we’re paying customers too, I’m a regular client at your salon (albeit a new one). I have to call tomorrow to speak to the owner about the price, the girl on the phone couldn’t tell me what that would be.

@MsGinkgo: Yeah, if you are booking appointments it shouldn’t matter how busy they are. Do they usually tend to get behind on appointments when you have been there in the past? Hopefully when you speak to the owner you get a more clear response.

We have 3 hours for 3 girls planned. Obviously the bride takes a little longer than the bridesmaids so it’s not quite an even split. Oh and that’s only one stylist.
I would think you could could start at 10 and definitely be done by 12:30… starting at 9 is pretty early so if you aren’t happy with it, tell the manager when you call!
