I’m about to lose it on my hair stylist. When I originally booked her for mine and three bridesmaids hair plus my makeup, she told us she would bring along an assistant and have everything done in 2 hours. I texted her to confirm everything for my wedding this weekend (5 days), and she said she would need at least 3 hours to complete everything herself. Apparently her assistant wasn’t available and she never told me. Now, I’m not happy about this, but would you say it’s even possible to get all of us done in 3 hours? My makeup/hair trial took 1.5 hours all together and she isn’t available any earlier than 3 hours before we need to be ready. I just don’t know what to do now.

@misscharlotte1: That doesn’t sound like enough time to me. It will take an hour for my hair but it is very long and I will have extensions. I guess it depends on how basic the style is.

I don’t even know what my options are at this point other than just wing it and if someones hair doesnt get done, it doesn’t get done. It’s way too close to try to find someone else for my girls. And the worst part is if I hadn’t confirmed everything, I would have never known. I don’t even know what the hell she was planning as far as an arrival time.

@misscharlotte1: The Brides hair usually takes the longest. Usually the bridesmaids hair can be done quickly depending on the style they want. I know my hairdresser can whip up a quick formal do.

Do you have a contract with her? If so, did it outline having an assistant? if so, she is in breach of contract. I might suggest calling a local salon and asking if there is a stylist or an apprentice (they are always looking for opportunities to practice) that is interested in making a little extra cash and coming to do the other girls.
