I'm not sure you have to worry as Coachella is in the desert, a few hours drive from LA.
I don't think it's going to be a problem, if people do fly in for Cochella they may fly into Palm Springs since it's closer to the venue. Also many people who go drive there and campout.
My weekend was the same as Coachella in April 2010 and I didn't think it effected anything.
I attended a wedding IN Palm Desert last year during Coachella. The bride and groom were able to get a great room block, even 3 miles from the event. I think you should be fine.

Hi! A Saturday just popped up at my favorite venue and I have a hold on it but it's the same weekend as the Coachella music festival. The wedding is in LA but I'm afraid that flights and rental cars will be effected?
Anyone have any insight or advice? 3 months is a short time to plan a wedding but otherwise I will have to have the wedding later and on a Sunday. Since most of my guests are out of town, it'd be nice to have it on a Saturday.
