My wedding is coming up this August (5th) and I’ve only been in one wedding, which was nontraditional held in Las Vegas so I feel so lost on trying to plan the wedding day!
My ceremony starts at 5:30pm (It’s on a Friday due to our budget)
and the ceremony and reception at the same location (getting married outside, with reception hall literally feet away).
I have 5 bridesmaids and I’m getting a hotel suite for us all to stay in together the night before the wedding.
other than that, since the wedding is so late in the day I have no idea when our day should even start or what we should do first! the hotel and wedding site are about 10 minutes from each other and we have to be at the hall around 3:30.
I plan on getting my make up done the day of the wedding at a local place about 20 minutes from the wedding site, also plan on getting my nails done, and we have someone coming to our room to do our hair, and I believe we’ll be getting ready at the wedding site in a room there at 3:30, so we’ll be taking all of our stuff over from the hotel.
The night before the wedding, we have until 10pm to decorate the reception hall so I planned on us all doing that together the night before, but are we supposed to do that in the morning as well or leave that to the family (my mother and a few of her friends will be helping set up as well)?
Thanks for the help!

Makeup done the day before? Or did you mean just your nails done the day before? I’m a little confused… lol.
We are also having an evening wedding and planning on sleeping in and having a relaxed day! What time is the lady coming to do your hair?
My recommendation? Have a leisurely morning with coffee and girl time. 🙂

@brideatbeach: haha sorry! I noticed my mistake and edited it. Make up done the day of the wedding 🙂
my bridesmaids and I might be getting our nails done the day before though, haven’t decided yet!
the hair lady will come whenever I say we need her lol
I would also definitely love to sleep in! lol

What worked for me when I created our itinerary was working backwards.
You know the ceremony starts at 5:30. You plan to be at the wedding site, getting dressed at 3:30, so you need to be done at the hall by 3:15. (I would say 3 in your schedule).
So if you need to leave by 3, what do you need to do before that? Don’t forget to plan for travel time, always!
Nails- how long will this take?
Hair- how long will this take?
Makeup- how long will this take?
Don’t forget to schedule time to eat!
Once you’ve added the amount of time required for everything you need to do, work backwards from 3PM, and you know at what time you need to start the process.
