@subola:  $1,027 for your dress, veil, jewelry AND shoes?! Holy that’s REALLY good! Mine is going to be way, way… way more. I can’t seem to keep it down, and I am not even done with half the look yet. Ahhh

Hi date twin!!!  Eeeek, only 97 days???  🙂  Your look is so pretty!  Here is mine!

The dress, hair accessory (no veil), and shoes cost $943.  The pearls are my mother’s that she is loaning to me.  I’m estimating around $100 for hair and makeup (haven’t had my trials yet).  I am well under budget for everything, woohoo!

Dress: $1016 + $275 for alterations

Veil: DIY, Fingertip-length silk tulle veil – $250 for the silk + $120 for the lace

Jewelry: Free, I’m wearing pearl studs and a bracelet that were given to me

Shoes: $140 for white tango shoes on sale

Hair/Makeup: Not sure, the place I’m scoping out is $250 for a trial and day-of or $500 for initial consultation, trial and day of.  Or I might just have my hair done and do my makeup myself.

Before hair and makeup my total is: $1801.

@subola:  I was just looking at that jewelry the other day!  Do you mind sharing how the quality is?  It’s such a great price and combines my pearl/rhinestone look so well!

I don’t have all of my wedding things yet, but so far my gown without alterations has been $500 (I’m budgeting about $300 for alterations because I want a lace up back added).

My shoes were around $90 and are my something blue: My veil was less than $20 including shipping:

I bought a rhinestone and pearl band to add to my dress instead of a sash, it was $40:

And I’m looking at wearing a pearl necklace and earrings, but I haven’t purchased them yet.

So far, I’m at around $950.

@subola:  The veil is still in progress, so no photos yet!  It’s just a drop veil, so basically a big circle with lace trim.  It will look very similar to Kate Middleton’s veil.

Lace Trim – it’s a galloon lace, so I split it in the center.  There will only be one scalloped edge around the veil.  Because the two sides of the lace are symmetrical, I’m having the roses face the front center of the veil.  I might go back and get some matching lace fabric and put a few appliques on the back.  It depends on the time I have left and how it looks.

Shoes: Comme il Faut Classic Model with 4″ heels and double straps in white leather.

Dress: Allure 8764 in white

Earrings and Bracelet: pretty standard pearl studs and matching 1-strand pearl bracelet.  The neckline on the gown is lovely enough on its own that I won’t need to wear a necklace.
