those looks are gorgeous, but the eye makeup is a little dark for my taste for wedding makeup.

Luckily, my sister/MOH is a professional makeup artist so I don’t have to worry about doing it myself!

Weird question, but what is your eye shape? Do you have a larger lid shape? Or a smaller/ less defined one?

If you have larger eye lids I would go for the 2nd or third.

Smaller eye lids, go with the shape of the first look.

With a white dress (I am pressuming white) Iprefer the tones of the first eye look.

I prefer the first then the second. But really depends on the shape of your eyes too. I am not a fan of the really sparkly eyeshadows, like the other examples. A smokey eye seems to suit most people really well!

Be mindful of the shimmery looks – in photos it can look ‘frosted’ and dated. I did my own makeup for my wedding, and there are a lot if great tips and tutorials online for bridal makeup. My personal favourite it Lisa Eldridge. She had great tutorials, and she does amazing work.

    Good luck!

The only way you will know what looks good on you is by trying all the looks out yourself, way in advance of the wedding.  Because so much of it is what looks good with your eye color, skin tone, etc.

Also I’d stay away from glitter or heavy shimmer…it doesn’t translate to photographs well.

I would pick one bases on what you feel compliments you skin/hair/eye colours best.

Mine is going to be similar to the first one as the bronzes compliment my colourings best. They tend to be what I wear on a day to day basis but a bit more dramatic. I’n not going for glitter as it can look strange in photos but I will prob risk something slightly shimmery for inside corners/highlights.

@thehappiestbridetobe:  Check out Jaclyn Hill on youtube. She has an amazing chocolately smokey eye that is stunning, I used that video for my engagement pics. She puts shimmer on, but you can skip that part. She has tons of videos so I’m pretty sure you can find a good purple smokey eye there. I just cant access youtube on my work comptuter 🙁

This is my favorite smokey eye look. Its not over the top and the rest of her face is very neutral.
