I am in looooove with my new foundation. It is so smooth. It's Revlon Photoready Airbrush. It is like a mousse/foam and is super light to wear. I also recommend primer and then a powder, I think your current one could suffice. (Btw, there are pics in a recent post I posted, I'll send you the link if you want.)
I would also add that I think at least a bit of makeup, even if it looks natural, is a good idea. Even if it's something as simple as foundation, blush, and a tiny bit of eye makeup and some chapstick. The camera of the photographer will reveal a lot more than we think it will.
the key to long wear make-up is primer before and setting spray after. I used Model in a Bottle setting spray and my make up looked the same at our brunch the day after our event LOL
@AmeliaBedelia I would love to have the link, thank you.
@Shedayz where did you get the Model in a Bottle?
I love wearing makeup and love how it makes me look, just want to avoid cracked and cakey. I am having some dry skin issues and am trying to get that sorted so I will have good looking skin for the day.
I really love MAC Studio Fix Fluid. It's what I wore on my own wedding day and it was topped with a light finishing powder. Looked great all day long.
And I totally second the Model in a Bottle! Get the original formula on Amazon, it's under $15. Also wore that on my wedding day :) Just a word of advice, don't apply any more makeup on top of the spray. You shouldn't need to and like another poster above said, you can even sleep on your makeup with it and it will look great the next day.
Makeup Forever HD Invisible Cover foundation is my favorite. It photographs really well and does not upset my sensitive skin. Sephora will color match you and/or give you a sample.
@doodlebug15: Is it cool if I just post a pic of it? I'll try to make it smaller. You can see the foundation (or the effects of it, rather) pretty well. Like I said, it's a mousse, so it actually adds a bit of moisture for your dryness issues. :)
@doodlebug15: Here's a pic of my wedding day makeup with the MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation and Model in a Bottle spray over it. It's still my fav foundation! And due to the spray, I didn't touch up once.
@AmeliaBedelia: Threadjacking here, but this is what the Whirl lipliner by MAC looks like. I wore it with MAC Oyster Girl Lipglass. It's a nice subtle liner and I think it would look great with your lip gloss :)
A good friend of mine introduced me to BB creams last spring, and it's all I wore all summer. My skin is combo, and my bb cream actually stayed perfect while I played softball. I like that it isn't matte, but it's also not shiny (there's all types, I just love my Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream). I've read that BB creams were designed to be a primer and foundation in one. If my under eye circles are really bad, I do need some concealer on top or if I have a really bad pimple, otherwise it's enough coverage. my skin is somewhat sensitive (my friend who got me into BB creams has reallllly sensitive skin) and I really think that when I wear BB creams my skin gets a little better! I also like Diorskin Forever - the coverage is slightly more matte (but not chalky) than my BB cream, but also feels a little mroe perfected. I have a few other BB creams and foundations, but those two are my favorite I keep going back to. Plus, the Etude House foundation is so cheap, it's really probably the cheapest foundation I've owned and used mroe than 3 times.
When I remember to, I putu primer underneath (regardless of what foundation or BB cream I use, I do love Hourglass Mineral Veil primer. Keeps shine at bay and just keeps everything on so much longer.

My fiance prefers I go makeup free but I will be wearing makeup for our wedding. I would like to find a better foundation. I use a mineral powder right now and am pretty happy with it but sometimes after a while it looks cracked and patchy. I have sensitive skin and I was wondering if anyone can recommend a long lasting base that will not end up looking cracked and one that won't highlight any fine lines. I am getting married in May and would like to take this time to try new things. I want a smooth natural look on our big day.
