My makeup usually melts off in two hours, even in the Canadian winter, but Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and Hourglass Veil Fluid last until night time when I take it off. I don’t use a primer or setting powder anymore. Apply either one with a buffing brush.

I have oily skin too.  What i’ve found is that the best way to keep your makeup on your face for a long time without that “melting off” problem is primer!  I got my makeup done as a bridesmaid once and they used primer before makeup and it literally didn’t budge for 10 hours.  I always, always use primer now before any foundation or other makeup.  It works great!

@2BeeWed2013:  MAC! I struggle with severely oily skin and i used MAC on my wedding day and my skin looked so flawless and I never got oily through out the whole night. It was wonderful.

Another fan of MAC ProLongwear here! I just started using it this week. I was about out of my regular foundation (Makeup Forever Mat Velvet +) but wasn’t near a store that carried it, so I decided to try MAC. My previous foundation did a good job with coverage and mattifying my oily spots, but the MAC foundation so far has lasted so much longer and looks spectacular and covers very well. I’m officially making the switch!

I swear by air brushed makeup. I didn’t really believe in it until I had a trial and walked around in 100 degree heat, went to the beach, went dancing, and came home still looking absolutely FLAWLESS! If you can afford to out it in your budget, it is worth every single penny!!!

@2BeeWed2013:  I 3rd the MAC Pro-Longwear, but if it’s out of your budget, try Revlon Colorstay for Oily Skin.

I’m not a fan of the MAC Prep & Prime though.  I think L’Oreal makes a better primer for cheaper that really mattifies the skin.

I have really oily skin, and I love MAC Studio Fix Fluid. Another one that looks great, and that doesn’t even need to be set with powder is Tarte Amazonion Clay foundation! I love this stuff. It has a really matte finish and is very full coverage. I also think that primer helps. I abolutely LOVE Benefit’s Stay Flawless primer. It makes your makeup stay put literally ALL day. I have never used a better primer and I have tried many. Powder that I love for setting foundation is Rimmel Stay Matte. It is like four dollars at the drugstore, but I swear by this stuff. It keeps me matte for hours!
