@Hiswife2be:  Um, you know, now that you have me thinking, I really don’t have any regrets! I keep thinking, I must…but I don’t.

@Hiswife2be:  Sorry, no regrets here either. I guess we must have spent the right amount on everything as I dont think either of us regret too much or too little anywhere.

@Hiswife2be:  I’m in the same boat as these other ladies… don’t have any regrets on where/how we spent our money. Sounds crazy, but everything was really worth it.

I am not married yet, but I already regret spending so much over food and alcohol, mainly because I wished we could have found a venue without a caterer. Venues boosts prices and push their own caterer/restaurant : alcohol is often 3x more expensive when provided by the venue than if I buy it myself at the liquor store. Each bottle of wine, once you calculate the grauities and taxes, is around 45$. It’s ridiculously expensive. It’s a huge chunk of my budget to the point it actually doubled it. We would have as much fun and as much good food (and even more alcohol) if it wasn’t for the venue’s prices, and we chose among the less expensive, it’s even 1.5 hour away from home. I am really envious of Bees who have a large enough backyard or garden to host the reception there. I feel the prices would have been justified, and I could even provide more refined foods and alcohols if I could choose my menu and buy it myself.

@Hiswife2be:  I was on the fence about upgrading a lot of little details (linens, chargers, favors, dancing sandals) but at the end of the day, our budget didnt allow for these extras so I didnt have them and can I tell you what? They were not missed one bit!

Nothing that I wish I spent less money on, but I do wish we spent MORE on the dinner! It was good, but not fanatastic and if I could do it over again I’d like it to be fantastic.

No regrets. 🙂 everything was just as I wanted and even if not all the guests noticed all the details I did and it made it more special and personal to me 🙂
