This is how my day went just to give you an idea.  We kept it pretty simple.

I’ll start from when we got to the venue.  I got dress at the bridal suite at 1200.  Already had my hair/make up done at home prior to my arrival.  1230 we start our photo at the venue before the ceremony.  1400 we sign the Ketubah (in the bridal suite not in front of guests).  This is also when guests have started to arrived as this was our invitation time.  1430 we walked down the aisle.  Ceremony is done at 1500.  We had the ceremony and reception at the same venue so the guests went directly into cocktail hour after the ceremony.  We come in for cocktail hour at 1530 just to greet guests.  1600 reception start.  First we had a bridal party introduction then the first dance.  Then we went into the hora.  Then dinner start.  After the first course we had the speeches.  We did dancing breaks in between courses.  We did not do bouquet or garter toss.  Groom/mom dances after second course is served.  Then we cut the cake before dessert.  More dancing after dessert and that’s it 🙂

@frommisstomrs.:  We do weddings earlier in the day here, although some people have adopted evening weddings. Here’s how ours is planned:

Morning:

– Girls get ready

– Boys get ready

– Guests arrive at ceremony venue

– Ceremony starts at 10:00 sharp.

– Ceremony ends about 10:30- 10:45.

– Photos outside ceremony venue with guests, bride and groom drive off, bridal party leave in separate car for photos

– Rest of guests proceed to the reception venue

– 12:00 Lunch is served to the guests at reception venue, bridal party grabs lunch separately (as in out of sight of the rest of the guests)

– 13:00 Reception officially starts, with bridal party entering with a dance, followed by the bride and groom dance entrance. Bridal party is seated.

– Then you have the usual reception events: speeches, bride and groom cake cutting, bridal party taking the cake out for complete cutting with a dance, bridal party re-enters with a dance, cake is served to guests, entertainment by the MC until everyone is served, the first dance by bride and groom (ours will have a surprise choreography) and then the floor will be opened to the guests (the part they’d all been waiting for hehe) and then people will dance until it is time for the bride and groom exit.

Bride and groom exit with a dance, followed by the bridal party exiting with a dance.

Then the wedding is over by 6pm. Cool
