I have yet to find any yet!!
I am on the hunt for some nicely priced shoes for my groom to be though. I feel like there will be some good 4th of july sales.
I'm getting a h-u-g-e discount on favors 20% off our entire order!
Our caterer, Pulled Pork, Smoked Turkey, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, cukes and oninons, coleslaw, salad, burgers and dogs, all done at a live grill for $2000!!! I love it!
I just finished making 4 bridesmaid's necklaces (as part of their gifts) and all it took was $11! They're little seed bead necklaces with six strands each, in bright green (since their dresses will be black, but my colors are green & aqua & black).
I hope to find my shoes for cheap, make my own invitations and order favors/napkins for cheap!
My bridesmaids' dresses were only $40 each at the White House Black Market outlet! Needless to say, they love me. :)
My dress. I got it from China! It was so cheap I'm probably going to get a short reception dress and I'll STILL be under the original budget I set for my dress!
I 'won' my daughter's reception at the Sheraton on Ebay! First time they listed one (someone canceled) and the times and date had to be OK as there were no changes available. Everything was included for 150 guests except the DJ and photographer and officiant.
Funny thing is,I was looking around for tablecloths for my other daughter's wedding when I saw the listing. As a joke,I sent it to both of my girls (both are engaged) and asked if they could be ready,as it was less than 3 months away. One took me up in it! lol
You never know what you may find on the internet!
smyley was it like tremendously discounted?!? that sounds AWESOME, wish I could have found something that cool for my wedding, haha! My mom would have been SO happy!
I actually got my dress at Running of the Brides for $250. It was the first year they held it in Miami & I was the third bride in line w/ about a ten person crew - stayed over night & well worth it. I was all over the news. Not only did I get a great dress but it was an amazing experience - which i really enjoyed.
I also found my wedding shoes, originally $100 for $5 the other day which I custom dyed on my own (Post in my profile for DIY Dyed shoes)
Also excited that I am able to use my birthday gift cards to purchase certain wedding necessities like Michaels items & Macys (bridal shapewear) and Nordstrom from FMIL (looking for my welcome cocktail party dress from there & found the shoes at the outlet)
The bridesmaids' shoes! They are wearing a Carlos Santana shoe called Turbulence in Old Silver and over the Memorial Day weekend they were on sale :)
wow smyley, that's awesome. how much did you end up getting the whole thing for?
I got my jewelry for free when I was still working at a department store. We got $5 store money when we would have a customer fill out a credit application. It adds up and I got two pair of earrings and a bracelet for free. Now I just have to decide which earrings to wear!
My florist is also my caterer for the rehearsal dinner. Flowers for the bridal party, bridal bouquet, and a meal of glazed ham, green beans, scalloped potatoes, home made dinner rolls, salad, strawberry cheesecake and beverages for 25 people came to $275.53
The minimum bid was $10,000. (which is exactly what we paid as no one bid against us.) It was for the garden ceremony,5 hour open bar,1 hour cocktails/stations,4 course sit down dinner, wedding cake of our choice, all waitstaff and bartenders, linens, 20% gratuities plus sales tax,and complimentary bridal suite for wedding night. (maximum 150 people)
It was actually a GREAT deal for this area!
We booked our wedding for a Sunday afternoon, and saved $14,000 immediately just for not booking a Saturday!
Well, we are getting married in my FIL's backyard, and it is gorgeous, and FREE, so that is a great deal!
And, my mom made my veil for less than 30 dollars! Another great deal.
Found my dress on eBay for $100 & it fits perfectly...just need length alterations.
My dress! I found it at the Running of the Brides at Filene's in Dublin, Ohio. I know that most of these sales are absolutely insane but this one was nowhere near as bad as I expected. I took my MOH and a bridesmaid and we actually ended up getting there late (my worst fear!). Girls had started throwing unwanted dresses into a pile and my gown was the first one we picked up. At this particular sale there was plenty to try on and plenty left over. Everyone was extremely nice and there was a celebration every time a bride announced that they had found "the one". I walked out the door with my perfect dress that fits like a glove for $265. I also walked away with an amazing experience with other newly engaged brides that I will NEVER forget.
My green wedding shoes for $7 Invitation on clearance at Hobby Lobby for $9, printed them for $4. Wedding dress is actually a BM dress on sale for $80, alterations were free from MIL sister.
I have a lot so far! We are getting married at my fiance's church that his father is a minister at. (So ceremony and reception= free) My Alfred Angelo dress was only $250 at our local bridal shop during their big yearly sale and it fits perfectly except for hemming! I won a My Publisher photobook from a wedding blog that I am using for our guestbook. My cousin is a fantastic wedding photographer and is giving me the "family discount" for photography- $200 for the rehearsal, ceremony, reception and my bridal portraits. Pretty much pictures at cost- she's giving me a book of all the pictures she takes and giving me the copyright rights so I can have additional pictures printed myself. She also took our engagement photos for free! (Although I gave her a card with money as a thank you.) I got the Martha Stewart Eyelet wedding invitations on sale at Big Lots for $2 a box! So I got 200 invites (with envelopes and response cards/envelopes), 240 additional inserts, and 240 thank you cards for a little over $34!
I got all our bridesmaids dresses, flower girl dresses, groom/groomsmen ties, and my shoes for 45% off at J. Crew. They had a 30% off promo code, plus I used their 15% off student discount.
