I am so sorry. As someone who is getting married in Thailand and has been keeping a close eye on the political demonstrations there I do somewhat understand

I know this is awful, but try to relax. You have your groom and at the end of all this you will be married and have a good story to tell.

I don’t know what kind of wedding you are having and what can be changed. Is your family still going to come later if you go ahead and get married Thursday?

I see these as your options:

1)Wait until you family arrives to have the wedding. Contact your venue and see if it is possible to move things. If so, relax and have a pre-wedding honeymoon until then!

2)Go ahead with your wedding on Thursday. Make arrangements for some sort of celebration when your family arrives.

3) Go ahead with your wedding and have a party back home for those who were not able to get there.

Think about which of those appeal to you and which you are able to do. I know it is so disappointing after all of the work and planning you put in to your wedding, but it will all be okay.

Good luck. I know people trying to get into Europe from Russia, Australia and China and am currently harboring an American friend who was supposed to fly home from his vacation today but could not rebook before next Saturday. It’s clear we depend on air travel but also comical that a volcano can cause so many problems so far away. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you.
