Yay! I had a similar conversation with the boy not long ago. Turns out he has terrible taste in everything wedding, or at least I think so. He wants red vests for the guys, and I'm like 'but that will clash with the champagne pink and sage green the bridesmaids will be wearing!' And he justs raises an eyebrow and says 'one week' Which is him joking about pushing the proposal back a week because I'm talking wedding too much, lol.
Its so exciting when they start thinking about it seriously and share it with you!
Isn't it exciting?! Yes, SO and I have very different ideas on what we like! His comment was 'its a good thing I love you so much, you can have whatever makes you happy'. Aint he a doll?!
Roux, I am surprised my boyfriend doesn't do the "one week" thing!
As the engagement stuff seems to be getting closer (or I am deluding myself into thinking it is), the BF is more hush hush when we watch wedding shows or if I talk about wedding plans.
He used to chat with me about girl's dresses on TV and what I want and now he doesn't want to talk about it to build up suspense (and he wants whatever dress I get to be a complete surprise to him). Doesn't this waiting really confuse your thinking?
fancypants, I think or hope you are right because I get the same thing with ny SO. He used to comment on wedding stuff with me all thetime and talk about next summer and possible venues. Now he completely clams up and gets a but annoyed when anyone brings up wedding stuff. Says it ruins the element of surprise. I really hope this means the engagement is round the corner.

I was watching Wedding SOS when the SO came home today. He actually sat and watched with me. We got on the subject...brought up by him. We talked about what venue for the reception. We even talked about wedding colors and tuxes! The whole cenversation lasted maybe only 15 minutes, but he didn't blush or break out in a crazy sweat!!!! So, it looks as though I can go on researching the colors I wanted! Yay, blue, orange and white!!! Woo Hoo! Now, I just need the dang ring!!!
