I’m seriously in need of help. I sent my DJ who’s doing the music for our ceremony a playlist for our ceremony and he sent back the following message:
“Honestly, you have two very different sounds. Your bridal party is processing into a song that might pose a style hiccup with the song you chose for the bride’s entrance. I suggest finding a classical contemporary song similar to the Piano Guys you chose for your bridal party processional, but with more instruments.”
That’s it. That’s the message he leaves me with. I knew there was a concern that I was having with those two songs together, but I begged my fiance to help pick a song and he finally did and I didn’t want to have to say “no. try again.”
HELP!!!I’m really desperate. I will not change the bridal’s procession song. I’ve loved that song since high school and it’s been my dream to use that song. I need to find a classical contemporary song that will go with the Theme from Brideshead Revisited http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B27GLAvpcxs (I love 1:08 the best and is when I want to actually come in on)

First off… breathe.
a: He could have been super busy and just shot off a quick email while not thinking. Not very professional, but informative. You certainly could have used more info though. So one soluntion would be to email him back and ask for more suggestions.
b: You could tell the DJ that you want what you want.. and that is that.

I’m confused, what is wrong with the DJ? It sounds like he’s helping you by letting you know that your songs don’t match. He’s probably incredibly busy. It could have been worse, he could have not said anything and just played what you origionally asked him.
Why not just email him back and ask him if he has any speficic suggestions for a song that would be a good match?

How many people in your bridal party and how long is your aisle? If you’re going to let the song play for over a minute before you start walking, why not just all walk to the same song if you love it best, then you can get to hear as much of it as possible.

it’s just a suggestion. if you like it as is, then just go with it.
