You should do what you want, and if you want him there and he's ok with it, then why not??
Whatever you want. I think a lot of people do this now. I didn't but my FI hates shopping in a major way and he would have been less than helpful.
My husband came with my parents and me to my first bridal shop visit. Nobody said it was weird, so I think this happens a lot.
I never even thought to invite my FI. I want it to be a surprise and not have him see me in the dress until I walk down the aisle. So, his mom, my mom, my grandma and 1 of my BM went with me!!! I think he would have thought it weird to go with me wedding dress shopping, and we shop all the time together. But I'm old fashioned in some things, where he isn't seeing me in my dress until the wedding!!
I really really really wanted to take him since I value his opinion more than anyone else's. But I didn't. First of all, he would have hated it. Second, I didn't want to deprive my mom and sisters of that fun time. But to each their own!
They say it's bad luck for him to see you in the dress before the actual wedding. My fiance won't even look at a picture of it...he just won't...he's been married before so you would think it's not a big deal, but it is. He constantly pulls the tradition card...don't you want it to be a surprise??
I took my fiance with me dress shopping. He told me that some of his friends in college used to take him shopping because he was good, and he was up for it. He was amazing. I would stand there flustered and unable to articulate why I disliked a dress I had on, and he would be all like, "yes to this," "no to this, this, and this."
It doesn't bother me that he's seen the dress I bought. All he's seen on me are the samples, which were hugely ill-fitting. However, I will NOT be asking him to come to a fitting, because I want there to still be a WOW factor when he sees me in the dress when it's actually fitted to me and when I'm all done up.
I see some girls bring their guys on "Say Yes to the Dress" on TLC. If you want to, why not?

I was wondering if anyone took their fiance wedding dress shopping with them? I really like to have his opinion on things, but my mom and his mom think it should be a surprise. What do yall think?
